What gets a poster banned? I’ve been banned at rx for a mod not liking my posts.....I followed all the rules....nothing that warrants a ban. It seems bans are more of a personal grudge and that’s not good. So my question is....what reason is there for a legit ban?

I think Players Talk is definitely over modded.

The best sites are the ones that are not over modded. Banning should be for threats, racism or something really crazy. I don’t see this site as one that bans for personal reasons.....so that’s good.

I'm not a professional gambler but I follow all sports closely, do a lot of handicapping, and generally make at least one wager virtually every day of the year. I do it online but it's still mostly with my local, who I've been with for about 30 years. We settle up when I'm either plus or minus a pre-arranged limit. It's a hobby and it's something I enjoy. I win slightly more than I lose, and I try to ride my hot streaks and dial back when I'm in a slump. I make sure my bets are big enough to excite me but not so big that they can hurt me. I have trained myself to never go Full Tilt.
The days of finding useful information on SBR seems to be over. Instead it's mostly junior high-level drama from a few attention whores. Or guys who are obviously not making real bets (ie, LB) but instead are clogging up the forum with ridiculous longshot ML bets. No real gambler would bet that way for very long.
These days I prefer not to post my picks. What's the point? It's a lot of work, and you become a troll target. My hat goes off to guys like LT Profits who do a lot of research and share their plays. Lately I've been spending a lot of time listening to VSIN on Sirius radio. It's an excellent channel dedicated to sports gambling, with no emphasis whatsoever on any drama. No Kapernick, no debating Lebron vs. Jordan, no belly-aching about Belichek and Brady, no BS.
Kinda like how this place used to be.
