Would be crazy if the Fins pull it off. They haven't won in Gillette Stadium since 2008.

Laker, I will say this. 1st time in a while that Tommy has shown bad body-language like that. Tossed the helmet, Tommy knows this isn't a Super Bowl roster.

I'll believe it when they are dead and buried, in the casket, the Undertaker slams the the lid shut, and the bell tolls, and the ref signals the end.

It makes total football sense. It's made total football sense the prior times, when it looked like the end was near. They often have a crap roster, with tons of weaknesses all over. It's never mattered before. Maybe this time it finally will, but I wouldn't bet on it yet.

looking thru the pages You had pitt and another game that won. Pretty good opinion. I am against you on NE ... I am not betting it. I think my rating of them is high. I also agree the pats are done. Brady in my opinion retires after this year.

. Good luck though. Keep winning.

not only not fear them. but opponents will be sky high to beat them knowing that they are just as good now. revenge for all those years they got stomped on by them will inspire their effort.

Remember when lakerman argued with me from 2010 to 2014 over who's better Brady or Manning.

This thread is Lakerman simply praying for Brady to collapse.

    Not gonna happen.

Pats aren't even at full strength. Edelman is the best slot receiver in football and he'll be coming back soon. Gordon is a good WR too and they'll have him.

They've been missing Trey Flowers, one of the best pass rushers in the league, and Patrick Chung, one of the best safeties in the league.

Not that you know who any of those players are.

Pats won't lose to the dolphins, sorry boss.

And Pats can do whatever they want. Brady can go years without making the ship and then 3 years later win b2b.

He can win superbowl mvp at 47 years old if he wants.

Laker could be right on this one.

Remember when you told us that people were 'clueless' about the NFL if they thought the Eagles could beat the Patriots? And your reasoning was, despite them drubbing the number one defense in the NFL the week before by 31 points, that they would lose because they couldn't handle pressure and your proof was that Jay Ajayi fumbled on the first play of the game against Atlanta?

Exactly my thought. This offense relies on quick slot receivers and RBs that can create separation and YAC for Brady.

I am a Pats fan and not even Stevie Wonder would call Flowers and Chung one of the best in the league at their respective positions. Flowers is an above average pass rusher who stands out on NE because they have nobody else. Chung is valuable to NE's schemes but he would be hard pressed to excel in most other systems.

Pats came into the season on a downward trend but they still have enough to win their division this season. If they can't find their groove by week 8, then I would be concerned. SBs aren't won in Sept.

Everyone just thinks Pats players average but excell in great schemes. Players win championships, not schemes. That's why Bill's scheme got trashed last year by Nick Foles. Because he tried to get cute and start Eric Rowe instead of an All Pro player in Malcom Butler.

Chung is a champion, and has made some of the biggest plays as a safety over the last decade in the games that matter most.

"Patriots star edge defender Trey Flowers missed the team’s Week 3 affair with the Lions, but when he’s healthy, he’s one of the best at the position. Flowers has recorded a whopping nine total pressures on just 35 pass-rush snaps this season, earning a 16.7 pass-rush productivity that leads all edge defenders with at least 30 pass-rush snaps." - Pro Football Focus

So many Patriot players go on and put up huge numbers after leaving NE....not.

Chung left NE for Philly and was ran out of town as one of the worst safeties in league. He is a fit in NE's scheme but he can't cover anyone.

Albert Wilson (15) and Jakeem Grant (19) are easily the fastest WR duo in the league.

Grant doesnt see press coverage. In fact, last year the Pats covered Grant press and he went off in the Fish's win against NE.

I'm staying far from this one but it wouldn't surprise me if Miami covers.
