Alright, I think I am going to hold off on the over 1H in the late game and just roll with the -8 BC.

BOL Hng on the under 1H. I'll be rootin for ya.

I’m on -8.0 too. A bit worried cause CFL games have been close this year to start. But I truly believe if there’s one blowout for the week, it would be the final game.

I also took MTL team total under 20.5. I see it being a 24 or 27 to 10 or 13 type score. But what do I know.

Montreal was so bad last year against the spread, right up until the end. In fact, I think we were posting about how they'll do better this year against the spread.

Keep that in mind. I wouldn't be surprised to see Montreal cover and in another market read and non forecast based play I took Montreal Alouettes +8.5 (-104) over BC Lions.

Again, it's an early season market read and I'll track them separate to keep it clean.

    No open parlay here.

    Good Luck guys.

Actually, I did close an open 4 pick parlay with Montreal +8.5.

Looking great for KVB so far. 2 deep passes from Willy which I was surprised with.

3-1 to the first half unders this week in the CFL.

Great call on the 1H under. Glad I sat that one out. This is a perfect example of why this thread is so important to share info and leans in. Saves $$$ in some cases.

There's that Montreal turnover that could kill the dog.

    Willy!!!!!!

This won't be the first time I lose a bet on them this year, it can't possibly be as bad as last year though.

With receivers getting a head start and so many possessions per game, even if they cover the spread, it's not a good sign for the 2018 Montreal team that they only threw downfield a few times, and none of them in the 2nd or 3rd quarters.

We all know that won't fly in the CFL and it's something to note as far as league medians and play selection are concerned.

It can also serve to inflate early season BC defensive stats.

Extra roughing the passer helped Montreal 37 secs to go and driving

This is by far my favourite thread to talk sports betting. We have people with models, sharp forecasts, and others that watch the game. Great way to bounce ideas off everyone.

Next week I have another AMAZING angle that can only be played in week 2. Will be making a write up on it in the next few days.

Side note: Anyone see this stupid play?

Montreal set a franchise record of 12 straight losses.

They last covered a spread in week 8 of last year as 7 point favorites. Since then, as almost exclusively underdogs, they have not covered a spread.

That's part of the first half of the season, through an entire second half of a season (a post season that doesn't matter in this case since they weren't in it) and into another regular season.

That's very difficult to do in any sport with this type of league structure.

    Unreal.

Honestly how sad is that? It's one thing to lose 12 straight. But losing that may games ATS is hard to do. I remember they were +17.0 @ Saskatchewan last October.

They just stopped playing offense and eventually he got one of those short shovels picked.

Probably should make a side roll to bet against Montreal until you lose a couple in a row and if they cover the first one oh well.

Week 13 of last year, the write ups were crazy.

I was touting how the sharp forecast would fail that week. By the final game, Sunday night, the sharp forecast was right against the spread and moneyline in all three games.

The pressure for its Ottawa prediction to fail was high and Montreal, who had not covered 4 in a row, was under pressure too.

The line shifted from Ottawa -3 to the Montreal -1 at home. There were QB issues but Montreal lost 29-11 and never did recover from that break.

The sharp forecast went just about 3 of 4 the rest of the way and Montreal continued to fail, twice in final swing games over the next five weeks and ATS the rest of the season.

The market remembers this and I'm not surprised that it seemed more like Montreal failed to cover as opposed to BC being the great performer tonight.

It's not what they bring; it's how they bring it.

The dysfunction for Montreal this year already is amazing:

A month before training camp, their newly promoted DC steps down: https://www.cfl.ca/2018/05/10/kahlil...-stubler-take/

At the start of training camp, Josh Freeman retires. He was supposed to be their starting QB: http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/2...real-alouettes

Last week, Montreal accidentally submitted to the CFL their starting LT on the release list: http://3downnation.com/2018/06/10/al...xavier-fulton/

Nobody had a winning record in the East last year. Toronto won with 9-9.

It always goes back to that give and take of the markets. It shows up everywhere but at the same time there's always a Calgary, or Montreal, or Patriots, or Tiger Woods, that skew the total give and take just enough to make it difficult to put together a life changing parlay, among other things.

Did anyone see the streaker get leveled or seen footage? The cameras didn't pan to it but commentators still talked us through it and sounded like a player drilled a streaker!

*Anyway first time I've watched a full CFL game and thought it was okay. The two downs is a little frustrating as it it's a bit of a punt fest but it makes the teams go for a bigger chunk than the NFL I guess. Makes the endings better where teams can't milk the clock as much so that's a positive for it. That one point thing I can't get my head around what an odd rule!

    Yes! Thanks. Decent shot alright.

*Hope the player doesn't get in trouble. Seen this twice before once in soccer and the player got in a bit of trouble and once in rugby where everyone thought he was a legend and no problem.
