Joko-bytch says he tore a stomach muscle. boo-hoo

    RAFA 20
    FED 20

    Joker 17

RAFA becomes the favorite to win however several dangerous hard-courters like Thiem, Raonic, Zverev, Medvedev and Tsitsipas remain.

Want to put an asterisk next to Rafa if he wins this title?

Fine - then make sure to put one next to Fed's 2009 french title when he did not have to go through Rafa as Soderling KO'ed Rafa in rd 4 thanks to tendinitis in Both knees and his parents divorcing at the same time.

injuries are part of the game. part of being great is avoiding injury over the course of 10-15+ years.

Does your kids know you're in love with Rafa? just kidding mate.

Did a search. You mean the live Argentina performance in 1993? Few scary props in that one for sure.

Ended up watching a documentary about how his death happened. Dr. Conrad Murray etc. See if I can bump a existing MJ thread and share the doc.

Felt like Nadal needed this. Was there for him, too. Djokovic’s to lose now.

The biggest hurdle Nadal has to clear in the GOAT discussion is that he hasn’t won enough outside of the French. He could have put a dent in that a bit this week but didn’t.

I honestly don’t have a GOAT...I think all of the Big 3 are the GOAT in their own way. Don’t really put one over the other, but maybe lean towards Fed because of most tourney wins and longevity.

Rafa has won more GS's on his best surface (Clay) than Roger has won on his best (grass) and Joker on his best (hardcourt).

Rafa has won more GS's Off Clay (7) than the other two have won combined on Clay.

But I am splitting hairs. very difficult to separate these 3 all time greats.

Only 7 of the other 3. I just feel like he needed more there to separate himself from the other three. In the end, I feel they’re all on the same level as far as their legacy goes. They’re all the GOAT. Like I said, I’d give Fed the slightest edge but it’s so small.

Muchova did something similar to Barty. Took a 10-minute break for no specific injury or pain and came back to win the match.

Nadal, Murray, and Wawa are injury riddled. The young guns haven't broken through to the majors yet. Novak has 5 years to win another major. I'd wager he gets an Australian Open Title. Maybe when Fed is gone or injured along with Murray or Nadal. Men's tennis is pretty thin right now. Jack Sock is the 8th ranked player and he's never winning a major.

Always said that Fed is the best ever, but Nadal is the best player in history. He won't be stopped on Clay for at least 3 more years, and then he'll probably win another wimbledon too. I think Nadal wins about 23-24 majors before retirement.

There will never be another federer nadal djokovic as long as we're alive. All these young players suck dick. They're lucky to win 1 major a year, and they need an injury from one of the big 3 to win. If Federer was in this aussie open it'd be a different ball game.
