at least last night the lightning was close enough to be seen... not 3 counties away like these college games
all it did was make me stand with a bunch of drunken goofs and then go back to a wet bench where i caught a cold
i would've been better off struck by lightning

However all umpires and refs have an obligation to stop play if there is danger from lightening and they take that responsibility very serious
