anyone betting on French presidential election? looks unpredictable
Polls are so f-cked up these days that it could be worth placing a bet at high odds

I believe polls are fake one more time so I ll go with a bet on Fillon at 4.5, good odds ( I dont believe French will elect Le Pen, she is the female Trump but the voting process is different to US and Trump would have lost with the french voting system, since less than 50% people voted for him.)
Results of 1st round today... Fillon odds now at 6.00
Macron 1.75 and Lepen 4.8
Seems like a tough one to call. I'm going to sit it out. Good luck on your bet. If I had bet, I'd take Marine Le Pen to win the the first round at 1.9.

It just seems to me she appeals to enough people who are angry to get the highest percentage in the first round but no way 50%. So then she'll wind up advancing to the heads up on May 7 and lose to someone more centrist.
Le Pen NOT President is a lock to me, and it is possible to get around 1.22 right now by placing a Lay bet at Betfair.
For me this is value, I know everyone will say Clinton was a lock, but the vote in France works differently. This is a great 22% interest rate paid after 2 weeks.

I can guarantee she won't win, all polls say 40% at best on 2nd round, polls are f-cked up we can all agree on that, but 60% vs 40% is a huge margin at this stage. Polls being wrong by such a margin, it would be hilarious to say the least.

So basically, you take 24% (Macron) + most of Melanchon votes (let's say 14% to be kind with Le Pen), + 6% (Hamon), + half of Fillon (10%) = 54%
Macron can't lose.
You were probably right, best bet earlier was Le Pen not to be next president at the odds earlier today before the results were in.
