Look for Flip Saunders to be hired as the next Gophers coach. I love the new AD. No reason Minnesota should settle for mediocrity.

Tubby got ******....plain and simple. Settle for mediocrity? Who ever heard of them before Tubby came. Its nearly impossible to recruit to minnesota. Its a tough sell. I dont know who they think they are going to get.

Incorrect folks. The new AD is Norwood Teague. Any idea on who he recently hired at VCU? Mr. Shaka Smart. Trust me, Norwood will bring in a really good coach. He has serious connections throughout his profession. That's all I will say at this time.

Tubby is a garbage coach - one of the WORST recruiters in major basketball conferences. Tubby had more talent this year than 75% of tourney teams easily, yet I wouldn't say the gophers had a successful year by any means.

Look, we know Minnesota isn't a power house but it is a decent job. Money+ decent in-state recruiting make it attractive. Def ahead of Nebraska, Northwestern, Penn State and Iowa in the B1G. The right coach can turn Minnesota into a consistent winner like Bennett/Bo have done at Wisconsin.

It's a good decision if they can bring in somebody good.

They had a hard time seeling tickets in the Barn.

LMAO turned the program around??? One NIT championship.. winning one game in the tourney versus a mediocre UCLA team with its 2nd best player out? With teams like.. La Salle.. Florida gulf coast...making the sweet 16 and numerous other smaller schools continually making it further then Tubby's team.. He is a joke and again I will say has done nothing with his own recruits...Right place right time in Kentucky.. He hasnt dont shit up her in Minnesota... What fan or A.D in there right mind would be fine with this production in 6 years???And by the way I think he was being paid 2 mill plus a year.. What a over paid P.O.S.. SS coming to minnesota is about 50-50 right now. You don't think he and norwood teague haven't already discussed it?? I won't say its probable right now, but it is absolutely in play. You think SS wouldn't consider a big 10 program, especially given he and norwood's history? VCU in a couple years could be average and SS could have missed his chance ya know.

clearly none of you know what is going on here. i am from minnesota and will explain.
tubby was a decent coach, but wasnt able to keep big time minnesota talent from leaving or transferring to other schools. 46-62 in big 10 play, never finishing higher then six.
the clown who said they are going for flip is stupid, thats not the plan.
teague was the former AD at VCU and will try to get shaka smart here.
if he can get shaka, id fire tubby 10 minutes ago.
why minnesota? big 10, and lots of money.
minnesota is a better job then ucla if you think about it and remove ucla's history.
