Excellent article. I encourage you guys to read this....

Someone sent this to me today, so I thought I would pass it on.

I typically detest the libtard spewing Yahoo....but I found this to be right on the money.
    Enjoy.

That's great and all from a motivation of greed standpoint, but has nothing to do with explaining the downfall of the middle class and the disparity of productivity versus wages.

That is some pompous self affirming bullshit right there. Who writes this crap?

    I'll write number 22:

Poor people believe in Santa Claus. Rich people believe they are Santa Claus.

    Number 23:

Poor people believing in tipping 20% for good service. Rich people have never had bad service and only top 15% because they like money.

LOL people who read articles on how rich people think on Yahoo and pass it along on a sports gambling forum

Advice #22 Most of becoming rich is due to randomness and other factors beyond a person's control.

Poor people hire HR block to help them make sure they are paying all their Taxes on time. Rich people hire accountants to make sure they're not paying anything near their tax liability.

I'm actually pretty sure #29 is wrong, most wealthy people didn't graduate from an Ivy league because it's not worth it. It also states that in Opie's article. Poor people think they have to go to college to make money and blah blah, but rich people focus on becoming great at specific things.. Which is true.

Which is not true. Education and income are positively correlated and is one of the strongest relationships in social science research.

Can you link me to something concrete that GRADUATING FROM IVY LEAGUE will make you more money then someone who graduated from a NON Ivy League and who has received their masters.. Or in this case.. A license in their field? AKA CPA, Bar, and etc?

No. It does not matter whether you graduated from Ivy League or Non-Ivy League school. In the long run, and controlling for all other factors, there is no statistically significant difference as income as the DV. However, the statistically significant difference is for college degree vs. non college degree on income.

It absolutely does. Not because of the degree from said institution - but from who you meet.

State college = broke dikk families sending their pride and joy
Ivy league = rich ass families who are sending their pride and joy.

Who you rub shoulders with matters. There is a saying about it.

Its not the grades you make, but the hands you shake.

You ever heard of something called research? Data? Evidence?

No time for your laytheories on how the world works and "rubbbing shoulders" nonesense. Research evidence shows there is no difference whether you go to ivy league school or non-ivy league school. Only thing that matters is to graduate from college. It's a huge significant predictor for income (p < .000000001)
