OKC vs San Antonio is the best non finals matchup since...?

    Lebron Cavs vs Celts?

    Pistons vs. Bulls?

    old school Celts vs. 76ers?

    great series coming men

Stephen Jackson will be the X-Factor in this series. Boris Diaw and Kwahi Leonard have to step up their D against Durant.

    Thunder in seven.

Crazy how Diaw was cut from the Bobcats.

I'm sure he is happy about it.

Can't see this series going less than 6, but probably 7. Give slight edge to the Spurs. Westbrook/Parker matchup will be key.

okc is fun to watch but there is no stopping the spurs. They move the ball better than anyone in the nba and play as a team better. no one will stop them.

Man those bulls/pistons battles were awesome!
    Best in my lifetime

Hopefully this one lives up to the hype

I like the spurs. They are playing so tough right now and are so efficient on Offense its insane.

Hitting the spurs pretty hard in the series

As long as Miami doesn't win, I'll be happy. What's the line on this series going to be? I'm guessing San Antonio around -180, maybe?

How about since the Celtics & Miami last year? Bulls & Miami last year? Lakers & Kings in the early 2000's? Lakers & Spurs in 2000's?? As good as this series looks to be, it's not even worth mentioning without dozens of others recently... A great series doesn't have to be legendary all the time!!

There are going to be a lot of disappointed people when this series is settled much more quickly than many expect. Spurs in 5, they will not lose at home and will steal either Game 3 or Game 4 in OKC. San Antonio is easily the best team in the NBA this season, and yes that includes Miami.

I agree with lt profits and pauulzcappin, Spurs in 5 (maybe 6, very maybe). This would be an instant classic though if it were 7 hard fought games but I doubt that very much.

Serious question that I don't know the answer to: Who was the last NBA team to go on a 29-2 run? That is Spurs record last 31 games and one of the losses was a throw-away where they sat entire Big Three and still lost by only 7.

    Not even close.

Two soft teams in garbage ball NBA era.

They look decent because everyone else is so horrible and can't put the ball in the hoop.

Spurs are legit, 29-2 translates well to any era because record would still be great if they lost a few of those games.

Two other conference finals that came to mind as great to me were Pacers-Knicks 1994, and Sixers-Celtics 1981. Loved Celtics-Sixers for the star power then, and the fact that the Celtics came back from a 3-1 deficit.

I doubt either of these teams with play tough minded defense like any of the eastern conference teams from the 80s mentioned. Just bc u drop throwback eras doesn't mean the shoe fits. This series looks like Lakers/kings circa early 2000s where donaghy effed sacto ovr
