    feds give states the right to do what they want, the only thing they care about is when states pass laws that are against a federallaw like marijuana stuff. Since gay marriage isnt illegal federally then they wont ever make it legal either and will let states do their own thing.

    The only states where it is legal are ones with screwed up wording in their constitutions that allows their Supreme court to make the decision rather than the voters. Thats why these states trying to get that wording in all fail to do so through a vote.

    I suppose the states where it is legal could have people petition to get a vote to change the wording to make it illegal but most straight people dont care enough to stand outside trader joes to collect signatures.

    But basically any state that can vote against it has, including N.C. just a few days ago.
