u must have missed the Shogun Henderson fight. I have watched probably all of Mayweathers fights and if u smashed all the highlights together i doubt u could come up with more hightlights than the Henderson/ Shogun fight.

$70 a pop, Floyd will make $50-60m for this fight, at the worst.

As far as buying the fight tomorrow. No. Going to a friends to watch.

It isn't a fight that I would pay $65 to watch at home. Once I get done watching the Derby I will probably stop at a local bar that gets the fights and pay a $10 cover to see it. If I don't do that I will wait a week and watch the replay for free on HBO next Saturday.

Pretty good read on why the business of Floyd Mayweather is so successful. He's so good at selling to both people that want to see him win and people that want to see him get KO'd.

I can't stand watching big sporting events on my computer. A big championship fight is such a spectacle, that a 24" monitor just doesn't do it justice.

It needs to be seen live, or on a 60" + Hi-def tv.

Fukk it.....who am I kidding. I know damn well I'm going to be shelling out the $70 to watch it tonite. I know it, and even worse, Floyd knows it.

Fukk him for laughing at me.

was a good card and good fights..no doubt..might have been the last one i bought too... i just got tired of buying them every month and being letdown so much...the last year of horrible judging pushed me further away too...

I believe it will be a one sided beating, kind off like Gatti-Mayweather. Cotto is too slow for Mayweather so pretty much every punch he throws he will get countered.
Ortiz had a beter chance than Cotto because of Ortiz's size and explosiveness.

I predict a late round stoppage

If Cotto puts non stop pressure he might have slim chance. But he wont do that. Cotto is going to try and box with Mayweather at mid-rang,thats where Mayweather is at his best, he will pick Cotto apart.

100% no ******* way......mayweather himself is guranteed 32 million and could make upwards of 100 million for 1 fight.....and he sets the prices for thepay per view.....greedy as mf prices it way too high......he is banking $ but slowly killing the sport....UFC for me....

nah, actually as far as the ppv numbers show, you got it backwards... ufc is killing themselves with too many horrible ppv's... boxing has a few a year and they are top quality entertainment... hbo does an amazing job with event outside of ppv's as well...boxing is going nowhere and it seems ufc's mistakes with the fox contract and bad cards have done nothing but hurt them...thats just what the numbers say, anyways... i love both but ill take a couple good undercard fights and a 12 rd title fight over a handful of mediocre mma fights any day

    My sentiments exactly.

i would love to see the fight just so I could see gayweather get knocked out. But I already see this as a slow boring fight. Probably goes the distance with gay winning nearly every round. No thanks.

could just as easy say this about silva/jones in ufc ... boxing fans see talent all over the place these days...sure we want to see pac/may , but arent getting down on the sport because it might not happen.... but arguing boxing and mma is pointless...its as dumb as talking about god...there are no winners in the arguments

If Dana White puts up an event with random people without martial arts experience fighting each other, the UFC geeks would still purchase the PPV and think its a great fight between talented athletes.
