need help developing a betting system

i have had a hell of a time this year trying to develop a system that i can use to consistently make money on sports investing...i know that bankroll management is key and also doing research on teams/players...i have tried accuscore, and sports insight and countless others...i know there are people out there who make a living off of sports investing and i would like to be one of them...if i can just find a system that can bring in a nice profit over a long term i would be so greatfull...anyone with some useful ideas that is willing to help would be greatly appreciated...

Learn math, figure out ways to apply it. Manage your roll well. Understand what statistics are actually meaningful, and which ones are false indicators.

Step one go SBR Pro, it costs nothing if you are betting online you should have $200 in a sportsbook

Step two use betpoints to get Amazon gift card buy books like sharp sports betting by stanford wong. Also use points in SBR store to buy Conquering Risk

Step 3 the most important step. TRUST NOBODY you are begging for someone to hand you the keys to the kingdom. Con artists are everywhere and take advantage of ignorant people who are deseprate to believe there is a system to make money easily. Touts sell picks and systems. They don't work, this is why they are selling them not making a living betting. This goes for everything in life, if it's easy everybody would be doing it. The harder you have to work the more money you will end up making. That is the same with gambling, the harder you work the luckier you will get. There is no easy system, you will have to put in a ton of work to turn a profit long term.

    Step 4 SBR use http://www.sportsbookreview.com/betting-odds/

you need to find the best lines, know what direction the lines are moving ect.

And in general players talk is going to be -EV you might want to start reading threads in handicapper think tank.

Your best bet is to just gamble for fun and know that upfront and not expect to turn a long term profit. You'll be happier in the long run just gambling for fun and avoid a lot of frustration. Good Luck

Sure, I try to focus only on statistics that are relevant. Say ATS coverage (team x is 7-1 against the spread), I've never found that to be a relevant statistic. All it says to me is that the team was undervalued by the public in the past. It tells me nothing meaningful about the absolute strength of the team. In addition, try to understand points per game as a function of their offensive performance against the defense they've played. If team X in football has played the worst 5 teams in football defensively, then this number is too high if they are facing the Baltimore ravens next weekend. In addition, specifically with the NFL, look for how long ago the matchup statistics are from. You would routinely see that various teams had won the last four matchups, but those games were once every four years for the last 16. This tells me absolutely nothing about today's team.

Try to figure out which sport you are the best at, right now choices would be hockey, nba, ncaab and other things like soccer. I only bet NBA right now. I know nothing about college basketball, or hockey, so I don't bet those. It allows me to focus in on 30 teams, understand their performance, and then apply this knowledge towards my handcapping.

One thing that also really helps is to handicap before you even looking at the line. I have a projected score before I look at the spread. I apply the spread against my model, and if it is off a certain number of points, then I bet it. I don't bet games that I don't have an edge on, and thus far it has worked out for me.

Others may disagree, but this is what I have found works the best for me. I don't bet a ton of games, and I stick to a system. I haven't had to make a deposit since august, so its worked thus far.

    Good Luck and Stay Strong
