    Always did always will..

Before I believe anything it goes through a rigorous series of my own questioning.......

If it don't make sense then it is not true,PERIOD!

Pauly, I learnt from a early age that independent thought is a big NO NO around those that are comfortable living in naivety...

Those same people though are the ones that consistently complain that nothing is being done and wonder why...

Cant make this level of stupid up....

I already cashed out at +900 and although don't invest in bitcoin anymore enjoy watching its going ons closely...

So what do you actually know about Baidu then?? They didn't become the biggest for no reason...

Chinese know their not going to see the 2.3 trillion you lot owe them so they allow bitcoin into the country and are currently attempting to corner the market.

Problem is others have tried that too and everytime the price has corrected itself (again, btc community will not tolerate manipulation). Although with baidu and reddit this does add a degree of legitimacy to the practical uses of the currency.

China is the new world superpower. Best you learn to accept that and develop a investment strategy that works around it instead of clinging onto that 18 trillion dollar hole (that's only getting bigger)...

Eventually, those with a majority agenda will be caught out and a correction will take place.

Il admit that Danny throws a lot of curveballs but every now and then one of them is a strike...

Hippo download the blockchain (aka wallet) through Tor browser and go from there.

If you like anonymity then startpage.com as your default browser is a good start...

However if your intentions are of ill intent (and I don't nor ever would suggest/endorse this) then I suggest changing your PC and isp into someone elses name and enjoy consistently having to move around from wifi connection to wifi connection...

    That's a start.

Also, these days id recommend finding a bitcoin vault to store coins (as there has been multiple hacks into 3rd party sites that hold others bitcoins) if you plan on holding longterm.

Find an exchange (bitpay, bitstamp etc) you can use to trade (buy/sell) the coins into currency as well.

I should be charging consultancy fees for this shite lol...GL hippo

Bitcoin Exchanges have no audit process, no way of keeping them honest, no trail and no verification procedures. It’s just a number like he said. It’s all trust, based on a house of cards and this is one of the issues I’ve been harping on about from the beginning. Why do you trust the exchanges?

    What gives Bitcoin it’s value?

An anonymous currency requires trust between users. Especially when used online. If I pay you N Bitcoins, I have to trust you will send the goods in exchange. Think about who you will be sending those Bitcoins to. Without trust, there is nothing. The key to remember is the Bitcoin system relies on trust, yet you are dealing with the most untrustable and criminal of people, exactly those who seek an anonymous currency like Bitcoin. For those who are still unaware, there is no honor among thieves except in Hollywood.

For a moment there I thought you were talking about bankers and lawyers ie the most untrustworthy of people..Why do we never talk about those that got USA in the hole to begin with??

18 trillion not enough for you to see that trust means nothing to those that have the control??

There are no controls, no structure and no systems in place to keep things honest on the Bitcoin exchanges. No Securities and Exchange Commission. No Financial Services Authority. Bitcoin is unregulated and not the right place for a regular Joe to be placing money. Especially when they gain little value from Bitcoins anonymity, unlike those intending nefarious acts. Add in Bitcoin pricing volatility and you have a currency that is unusable for real world trade.
Having said that, without the Bitcoin Exchanges, how else will Bitcoin users value their “currency”? They can’t. Bitcoin valuation, as with any currency, requires a central base to assign that value.
A currency requires agreement on value, even if it is just perceived with little or no tangible mass behind it.

Can only talk for myself but go look at my spreadsheet if you want to feel more pissed off

Am also CFO of a small gambling syndicate that has consistently made money at a rate that's several times greater than CC interest per annum (just to show you that some of us choose to learn more than others) using methods that employ minimal risk...

Only mentioned that to show that some of us actually do make money longterm...

    Cheers and enjoy your evening

I first heard about & studied BitCoins back in 2009. I have read the posts from those that are Pro & Con BitCoin. I agree with both sides. Yes BC's could be used in a Ponzi scheme & what is going on now with the Mega jump in price could be a pump & dump scheme as well. I have often heard the question "what gives BC's any value?". That is a fair question. One could ask the same of Federal Reserve Promissory Notes (American Dollars) too though. The same could also be asked of Silver & Gold. Roughly 5% of Gold & Silver's value is intrinsic. The other 95% is speculative. All of us are caught between a rock & a very hard place. Obviously all Western Gov'ts/financial systems are on the verge of collapse. Everyone can see that. There has always been a battle between corrupt PRIVATE Central Banks that have taken over the issuance of currency & the people who inhabit that Country. America has gone down hill ever since the Federal Reserve Act of 1913. The question must be asked. Why would ANY Country stop printing it's OWN money? Why would ANY Country give that power over to corrupt PRIVATE Central Bankers? I believe that once BitCoin gets all of the bugs worked out it could be a viable alternative to The Federal Reserve & it's counterparts that are spread all over the world & coordinated with the help of the IMF (International Monetary Fund), BIC (Bank For International Settlements), & The World Bank. I am getting a little off topic here so without any further adieu here is some info videos about BitCoin. Enjoy!

The success of BitCoin hinges on whether or not it will become a "silent/unseen universal currency converter". When that happens then BitCoins will be unstoppable!

This is probably the most important topic of out time. I have heard a lot of good points being made from both sides of the debate. I sincerely hope that everyone finds these 2 videos informative. Take care & bye for now.

    Awesome post Ron Paul...

Indeed, nobody is asking what gives currency its intrinsic value??

Federal Reserve Act most detrimental thing to happen to the majority of people in USA...
