But Mizzou +1.5 vs a ranked Kentucky meant they had to win pretty much and I didn't see that happening.. keeping it close YES but not within a pt. I think lines from -3.5 to +3.5 are pointless because how many spreads get ruined by trash points at the end..
This system might be able to be tweaked for doing ML parlays potentially

UTSA is a shit team.. I'd stay away. They got beat by UTEP by 19 2 games ago and they are comparable offensively to Lou Tech. Spread is at a good spot.. game will end either by 20 or by 10 in Lou tech's favor

Good to hear that you came out on top. There was just an overwhelming amount of games on today, so I ended up not betting anything. Maybe I'll jump on some games with you guys tonight.
Ran a handful of games through the system for tonight. The following ones are the ones that the system disagreed with the favorites listed. What does everyone think?
Dartmouth +7.5
Illinois +5
Alabama +2
San Jose St +18.5
Troy +3
princeton is on a back to back but I think they are the second best team in the ivy league and with 2 losses already they definitely need this tonight.
Iowa is gonna crush Illi IMO.. out of their class

This seems like a good system for cherry picking spots like back to backs and player injuries and such. I mean I'm 2 for 2 seemingly for keeping you guys away from two plays that tried to get you to go the wrong way that wasn't statistically obvious but I knowing who they've played up to this point.
I agree. This system has potential......I also like Alabama +2, SJ St +18.5..... I also like BYU -6 and Tenn Tech +7.

I think home team advantage is a lot more influential in college basketball than almost any other sport, and seeing how this system is basically all about home and away scoring, that's probably why it's working so well
Yeah and if this did work for football..it would probably work for ncaa for that reason

If the goal is keeping it pretty simple they could prob do something like throw out scores against opponents outside the top 150 or wherever ya'll see fit and redo the ppg scored/allowed for each team and use that number for the equation they working with instead of a generic number that doesn't take into account the competition level of the team. .if that too much work now that we a good ways into conf play maybe try using just in conf totals, Smaller sample but would help expose some teams avgs that were compiled playin lower class (or above class) talent..
just a thought, I was bored and reading thread..once ya start with numbers u can go a lot of never ending ways with them! I don't even mess with ppg numbers as I prefer points per possession but ultimately whatever numbers u use or math u doing to make your line trying to weight it all based off competition levels, styles, ect ect is the fun/tricky part..
However ya'll choose to go about it I hope it turns out successful for ya.. GL

Dude, ur awesome for sharing this. I think I'm tweaking things as far as putting my bets in, like laying chalk on money lines or buying points, and also having harsher criteria as to which games are considered a play. I mean, games with data like Wake and Marshall are considered plays, I thought they'd win nice and easy, but they didn't, but the rest of the games were like butter. Can you start experimenting formulating possible equations for use in NCAA football?
Haha I dont have that much time on my hands believe it or not but when season starts Ill definitely try some stuff out. you may have to tell me your system now lol.
