Anyone here dislike posters who make claims of a big underdog going to win/cover?

I'm talking about posters who will say they like a big underdog winning straight up on the ML. And then they will get tons of replies whether its the NFL or the NBA. They will say watch for the underdog to win the game on the ML etc.

The reason why i dislike these posters are for a few reasons. If they lose, they aren't even going to get bashed much if the game was at least close and many posters will say very close. Or if its a blowout and they lose, they get a few replies back that it was a horrible bet and nothing more because that big of an underdog is suppose to lose straight up. But when they win, they would get lot of praise like they hit a pot of gold or something. I mean ANYONE can look at a card and make a claim such as the Washington Wizards or Redskins getting 11 points will win STRAIGHT UP! What's so hard about making this claim? Anyone can do it and just look for an angle which most people find since the reason they give is pretty obvious.

Then you have posters like "No coincidences" who say things like watch out the Wizards against the Knicks and the line movement shows more people on the knicks and the line dropping from 8.5 to 7.5 and Wizards to cover and win straight up and that it would be the perfect storm for the Wizards to win... All he is doing here is pointing out reverse line movement and nothing else. Why don't you name your post reverse line movement for nba instead of making these posts trying to get people's attention? You aren't even doing anything special because anyone can look at the line moves and see the line dropped yet more people are betting on the Knicks. All he is doing is fading probably one of the most public plays of the day as well and nothing else. If reverse line movement wins a very big percent of the time, then everyone would be rich. Some posters then made jokes at him saying how that line movement feel and then he goes you would make a ton of money if you bet nba totals today on reverse line movement. Does this guy know the totals market for the nba doesn't have that much money bet even close to as NBA sides? He is just pulling BS out of his ass.

I don't like to say these things but posters like No Coincidences who make these claims everyday are just annoying. Its fine you are fading the public and betting because of line movement, but all you do is being a contrarian and nothing else. Heck, i never seen him pick one public favorite one time! You do know public plays do cash right?

Any cappers who just fade the public is just doing a system and nothing more. So quit looking for attention and trying to look like a genius. There are probably a few more posters who are like this but i forgot their names.

Its the fact that these posters don't post any insight besides the line drops. Or take the Redskins on the ML for +350! Anyone can do this. Just look for the ugliest underdog and then say this XXX team on the ML and then getting replies

I'm gonna have to agree with him here.... so much so that when I was looking at the title of this thread no coincidences came to mind right away..It is annoying to see someone pick huge dogs nonstop...This is the same as people who pick on the line movement and base all their bets on it. If only it was that easy...

I guess some of the dogs come in if Vegas is still taking action on the favorites. Hadn't heard of many casino's closing, not heard of my local guys stop taking action.

I think some of you got your panies in a wad over nothing. Bet what you like and forget what anybody else says or thinks.. How about that?

You must not be paying very close attention. Love all the blanket assumptions in this post, though.

I took both the Steelers and Packers on Sunday (in my NFL playoffs thread, where I'm 11-1).

I'm not "trying to look like a genius." And I never said take the Wizards on the ML -- I was trying to get everyone a good number when it was 8/8.5. Had they lost by 20, attack the play. But it went right down to the wire.

Of course, there's always this neat feature called "ignore" -- I'm not reaching through the computer screen and holding a gun to your head to read my posts or make the plays I make, am I?

FTR, my "leans" thread went 6-2 today.

Bottom line: I'm always amazed that anyone even gives a flying f\*\*k.

Seriously, I've never even given a poster or thread I didn't like a second thought. I can't imagine being pissed off enough at a total stranger on a gambling forum to start a thread like this about anything, let alone how they pick their plays. What a bunch of fvcking nonsense.

If I don't like their picks or how they post them, I skip their threads. If I do, I'll read them. Freedom of choice is a beautiful thing.

All your plays are just fade the public plays nothing else. Are you aware of this? And do you know line movement in totals don't mean anything because the market there is small compared to sides?

I know who you will take in the superbowl and which game you like tomorrow in the nba because all your plays are the most obvious fade the public plays.

You couldn't be more wrong about every single thing you just posted, but keep going -- you're on an incoherent roll. Let the tantrum resume.

Do I fade the public? Sometimes. Do I fade the public when the line moves in the other direction? Sure. But do I take a favorite or a big public play if I like it? Absolutely. I just told you I had the Packers and Steelers over the weekend, genius.

I'm a big home underdog player -- if a particular play like that is fading the public, so be it. I'm trying to find angles and winners, which I've been doing on a pretty regular basis in three different forums the past few weeks. I don't hit every play I post -- far from it -- but I typically find more winners than losers (see today's threads for CBB and NBA, or yesterday's CBB and NFL, etc.)

Again, why do you care? Why not just ignore it?

Even in baseball, you do the same thing. Keep saying things like the Pirates or Nationals will win because the moneyline went down so much and put the . Let me guess, you going to take the Wizards again when they are on the road right?

I didn't care to read people reply but I'm one of those people! I hate going with the public that's the only sheit the kill me! Plays that I like is to go against them say I like a play that's + 6 and over 70 percent of the public pick the favor (-6) and line drop to -5 I would jump on + 5 or +6 whatever give me better value! And this method does work more often then not! Only if I like the play tho and vise versa - 9 public like +9 then line move up to -10 I would lay them points! Go against the public!

I have no porblem with posters who pick big underdogs. Each person has their strengths as a capper and one who specializes in big underdogs is just as valuable as one who specializes in mlb totals, tennis, or big favorites. If they win over a long period of time they deserve no bashing regardless of the pick. Further, bashing isnt what the forums are all about. Constructive criticism and comments about their writeup are the most helpful to the entire forum. Anything to make a dollar.

yeah its annoying, it seems that these people just take a shot in the dark so that in the off chance that it hits they will be revered by other posters

pretty sure most of these people dont actually put money on these types of bets, probably not even points

You must have lost them all.

Amazing -- a first on SBR. I sweep the CBB board with two plays and two 2H plays and I'm getting criticized for it.

I didn't even look at those picks until earlier since i dont follow CBB. Good job saying look at your CBB plays. All of them were fading the public.

Oh yea you then post on someone's thread Lakers will bounce back and cover

Check out how many picks No Coincidences needed to try on the Wizards for him to finally have them cover the spread He probably keep taking the Wizards everygame if they were DD dogs even if they lost 10 in a row as DD dogs. His one with the Wiz/Knicks was so funny. Line dropped from 8.5 to 7.5 and this is the PERFECT STORM for the Wizards to cover and possibly win

Check out No Coincidence Posts and keeps denying his plays are not fading public and line moves. And of course the making claim of an underdog can win. No duh sherlock of course any underdog has a chance!

I'm dropping Rutgers. Public's on them.

I know LB likes the Pistons, but I don't at all. 78% of the public's on Detroit so far, but the line's gone from -3.5 to -2 at some books (including The Greek).

I think Houston, Minnesota and Charlotte are all dogs that could win SU tonight.

    Anyone find him annoying?
