I'll prove it to you by showing you how I commonly apply what Brahma and Jive have already explained to the shaping of my sheet for the evening. I put $20 on bodog last Monday (less than 2 weeks ago) and, using this method, my balance is now up to $91.30. I never went more than about $10 below that initial $20 when I had my picks set, so you could consider this about an 8x rollover in about 10 days. To those of you that feel that you just don't get enough odds on these picks, you may want to consider teasing the spread. It is JUST TOO DIFFICULT to grow a bankroll on purely picking spreads. Totally unreasonable, imo... Let me just show you what I mean. I more than doubled my overall stake last night. My winning plays last night: chi-2.5, nyk-1.5, noh -5 $2.00/returned $5.00 mia-1, mem+4, okc/min under217 $1.60/10.25 noh-5, sas-5.5, mem+9 $4.00/10.00 nyk+1, sas-2.5, mem+12 $3.80/7.25 chi-2.5, bos-2, nyk-2, mem+9 $7.50/22.50 mem+4, under 218 $2.55/9.10 nyk-2, noh-5, sas-5.5 $3.00/7.50 chi, nyk, noh $2.45/5.01 My losers: chi-2.5, nyk-1.5, bos-2, den/bos under208, mia/uta under195 $1.70/(7.65) nyk-7, uta+2, mem+4 $1.55/(10.40) chi, bos, nyk, noh, okc, lal, lal/lac over205 $1.00/(8.46) first-halfers: nyk-4, mia-0.5, mem/pho under 109.5 $1.00/(7.00) total stake: $32.15 total return: $76.61 Obviously, last night was my biggest night over the past 2 weeks with my balance starting at about $46.00 and ending at $91.30. I've played the nba every single night in a similar fashion since I deposited on Monday of last week. It's true that on the majority of nights i've gained or lost minimally (+/- $0.00-4.00). But I've only had one BAD night, which was this past Friday when i think i lost about the entire $20 i had out that night (think that was when I went heavy on the spurs@lac... had them on too many of my tix). How many of you had a bad night last night PURELY because the "lock" of chi-7 didn't cover? nyk-7? Sorry for such a long post, but seriously... what Brahma and Jive are giving you is the gospel on how to grow a roll like a real player... not just hit it big on some 15-pt 4-team parlay. When you have ONE really good night a week and NO bad ones, you're gonna grow. It's just that simple.
