I am really hoping the Clippers can be tied or ahead of the Lakers at the half. The spread will be really appealing because the Lakers are a much much better second half team than the Clippers, and they almost blew the lead last night against the Wizards by not coming out to play in the second half. There could be some value here. I will wait and see

We can cover on this spread with the Lakers still missing on the original game spread of -8, that is the ideal halftime situation. The Lakers are a better second half team, and are just shooting poorly. What caught my eye here is that the Lakers played a terrible first half, and are only losing to the Clippers by 2. They probably thought they would come out and roll Griffin and the Clip, but they are surely getting an earful from coach Jackson. I expect them to win this game by 5, failing to cover the original spread posted.

The pacers are a much better first half team than Charlotte. They have won more first halves, and more 1Q and 2Q, respectively. The public is all over Indiana to cover the spread. What we usually see in those games is that Indy will come out with a 7 or 8 point lead at the half, and then blow the cover later on in the game when the starters are hanging out on the bench. The Lakers came out shooting 0-6 and trailed 7-0 on the scoreboard, but hit 8 of their next 12 shots and got themselves back into it. They really took over after Jackson called the time out with about 7 minutes to play in the quarter. I think that will be my only play today, I really just want to keep those 4 units in the bank!
