Funny you should bring that game up. Both totals for the third quarter wound up being within a single bucket of the set #. Isn't that amazing?

Like I said, it goes both ways. Just the nature of the game of basketball. It seems you expect every game to go at a bucket per team per minute pace and not deviate from that pattern.

It's more about the shot volume and flow of the game in the last minute or two, as opposed to the amount of scoring.

Then again, more often than not, it also depends on how many points need to be scored to make the quarter total and half pace wind up being as sharp as possible.

Quit betting totals.

Teams can score 20 points in the final 3 minutes or a team can go the final 6 minutes without scoring to f*ck you. The Bucks did that to me a few years ago.


At any rate, I see the same thing No Coin. Pace suddenly changes dramatically at the end of halves whether it be speeding up or slowing down.

The worst is when there is like 30 seconds left and you think they're are only going to be 2 more possessions and there end up being like 4-5, a technical throw in there, etc.

I've lost first half unders because teams have scored 10+ points in the final 50 seconds. It's unreal. This isn't end if game with fouling. This is up and down 5-7 second possessions.
