They hammer the offensive boards with aggression. I've listened to a few games with the other teams feed, and the commentators always mention this is as a key to the game, to keep the Raps off the offensive boards.

    Yep.

I saw them here in OKC when they beat the Thunder and if they can stay consistent, they are probably the third best team in the East.

We sat behind a guy that was from Lithuania and every time Valanciunas would score or get a rebound, he would stand up and cheer. He had a Lithuanian flag wrapped around him. It was pretty funny. He was a nice guy, so I became of fan of the Raptors, Valanciunas and Lithuania that day!

Valanciunas is growing into a solid NBA player. With his size, smarts and touch.....he'll be a force in the East for years as his game continues to develop. But I've seen major growth over the course of a couple months, dating back to the Summer League.

Not been following the NBA big bear? If not, there has been a widespread whisper of "tank talk" going on. I think the Rudy Gay trade was outstanding, but as that was going on, the Raptors were also rumored to look for a new home for Lowry and DeRozan. Why would you look to move your best players if you had a chance to win? Well, Raps caught fire, and those rumors have died down. I don't think anyone expected this kind of immediate success.....and I don't think there roster was built with the intentions of competing for a deep playoff run.

Wish they would tank and go rigging for Wiggins. Probably too late now to do that.

Lunch any team could stop blowing. Toronto is a great team, They have built a very tough, very smart team. Valacinunas / DeRozan are two underrated stars.

Why BigSpoon? Why not try and win now. We have a competitive team, who is making Indiana and Miami just a little uncomfortable. There are always going to be a few powers, and were not likely to ever be one, because of our franchises location. I'm sick of the future talk.....the future is now, let's try and win some meaningful games.

Boston is the one team that ain't winning that division. Brooklyn will probably get it together enough to pull the division out.

Guys....Brooklyn or NY are not passing the Raptors, I'm sorry to say. If you guys have been watching, you'll know they are the class of the Atlantic! ESPN Power Rankings have them at #8 this week.

Raptors are easily the third best team in the East this year. Young and athletic goes a long way in the playoffs.

YUP....it's almost laughable that people think the Knicks or Boston are going to pass them. Guys, unless those teams go maybe 35-15 the rest of the way, they are not passing the Raptors.

Rambis already touched on it...but Valanciunas absolutely destroyed the summer league. I was a bit taken aback by his progress...he in put a lot of work in the gym last year..

Valanciunas might have the best head/pump fake in the game. It seems like everyday he fakes a midrange shot, gets the defender in the air, and jams it at the rim. So heady!

Brooklyn does not have the legs or the conditioning to see it all the way through. They have been hot and will continue to improve...but that terrible start will haunt them until the end of the year...The Knicks are young enough to last the whole season...and Melo has seemingly finally bought into the team concept...they might very well be headed toward a 1st round matchup with Toronto...

Since I posted this, the Raptors have come back down to earth, and hovered around .500, while Brooklyn has been on a tear! I think tonight is going to determine who takes the Atlantic. I know we have 35 games left, but this really sets the tone for the next few months.

The line movement has been strange Ghenghis with DeRozan's status. You would have thought the line would jump a point or two....not drop!

They should in all honesty. Brooklyn was built to win, and win this year. Toronto was thrown together, in the hopes of maybe landing Wiggins. Would be wild if the Raptors drummed the Nets a$$.....AGAIN!
