    RollinDo's Under Wonders

    24-13 in nhl Unders.

Let's get another winner for you guys tonight.

    NY Rangers-Isles (Under 5.5) -120

This will be another outdoor game - Rangers tallied 7 on Sunday at Yankee Stadium. I think goals will be harder to come by tonight and checking will be tighter. Just seems that these outdoor games are kinda low scoring. Lundqvist has been great vs. Isles and Nabakov could start for Isles, which could keep scoring lower.

    No plays yesterday:

    Under record: 25-13

Today's play: StL Blues @ Carolina 'Canes (Under 5.5)

I think Carolina will be up for this game and really needs it to keep their playoff hopes alive. I think it will be more of a playoff atmosphere with tight checking.

Blues have not scored 2+ goals much in their last 10 games and the Carolina goalie Khubodin has been pretty solid, not allowing more than 3 goals in his last 10 games. St Louis surrenders a little more than 2 goals on the road.
I see this being a 3-1 or 3-2 type game. This is not a strong play, but more of a lean.

    Under record: 26-13

Last play: StL Blues @ Carolina 'Canes (Under 5.5) WIN

Today's play: Colorado Avs @ NJ Devils (Under 5)

This just feels like a low-scoring affair tonight. These goaltenders have been pretty hot lately. Colorado usually plays solid D on the road. While NJ has been scoring more of late, this will be pretty tight checking throughout. Avs coming off a 7-goal outburst - which may spell a more down-to-earth total tonight.
It could be a 3-2 game, but at +105 odds, worth a shot to me.
The last 6 games between these 2 have resulted in 5 Unders.

Not sure why I did this, but just a small wager tonight - 5 units to win .53 units

Oh man - that WOULD be some heavy juice. I just fear that if it doesn't hit, it will be like 4-3 final. I have learned my lesson from laying heavy juice. If I lose or push with my Under 5, so be it.

I may regret my Pittsburgh ML parlay. Just don't feel right about it now for some reason. Anyone thinking Sens have a good chance to take one tonight?
Pens have not lost b2b games since November...which is a big reason I took them tonight following their last loss.

Thinking about a small play (about half the wager I put on the parlay) on Ottawa +1 in case Pittsburgh doesn't win. This could be a tight game and if Pens win by 1, don't lose anything.

I personally don't see Ottawa winning tonight, but I haven't been capping worth shit so take it for what it's worth.

Oh shoot - thanks for the heads up! I don't even know who Giggy is - sorry. Yeah - it's unreal I have such a great Under record, but don't really know jack about nhl players...only watched 1 nhl game this year, so it's tough.

The way nhl has been lately, this might just be the night that Pens lose 2 straight...seems like it will happen just because I bet on Penguins.

Giguere is 5-1-2 1.62 GAA against NJ, so I think your under is still safe Rollin

easy Rollin ... no need to get yourself all lathered into a bunch. It was a post thrown out for consideration and qualified with a "may or may not be relevant" The narrative explaining your rationale behind this play stated "... these goaltenders have been pretty hot lately" The fact is Giguere hasn't played in nearly 2 weeks ... nor has he recorded a win in nearly 2 months. Nevertheless, Aves are my team ... should he get the shut out good on him ... and props to you if the under hits.

    Yep! Under hits again!!!

Too bad I keep making small wagers on these Unders. I just feel like the next one will lose, but I've hit 5 straight now.

WoW! My hedge actually worked. After the Pens game ended, I put in a ml wager for Columbus to hedge the parlay, so I won either way the same amt. Just need LA to lose by 1 or less...down 3-2 after 2.

    Under record: 27-13

Last play: Colorado Avs @ NJ Devils (Under 5) WIN

    Today's play: Why not again???
Colorado Avs @ NY Rangers (Under 5.5)

Odds a little steep for my liking, but this one seems like it should be around -160 for Under 5.5. I project it to be a 3-2 final.
Colorado continues to get good goaltending and Lundqvist for Rangers has been spectacular lately.
The Under has hit in 5 of last 6 Rangers home games, and like I mentioned yesterday, Avs are pretty stingy on the road. The recent history between these 2 teams has seen the Under hit more often than not.

Another stat I saw was that Rangers have hit Under in 12 of last 15 games in which opponents score 3 or more per game, which leads me to believe that they clamp down on opponents that have the ability to score.

I have seen a lot of plays on the Over in this one, but I'm not seeing it.

.67 units to win .5 units

I'm liking the Grand Salami Under today (50.5 goals) too fwiw. I see quite a few Unders today. I likely won't be playing it though, as selecting my Under POD has been the way to go.

If I had to choose another game with the Under, it would be TB-Minny (U5)...good odds at +117 too.

Adding another Under play for tonight:

    TB-Minn (Under 5) +115
This might just push, but we'll take a stab at it.
Bishop with a 1.95 GAA on the road (22 GS)
Kuemper with a 1.78 GAA at home (4 GS)
Big game for both teams - probably a defensive battle...worried a little about the 2nd period being more open for some reason.

Wait. How did I hit my 1st play? Was about the only game that went Over. There was a goal around last minute of game to go Over. I feel like I let people down who tailed me on Rangers Under. I didn't suspect Avs D would allow 46 SOG...guess so tired from b2b.
I did hit the 2nd play easily, and next time I see a Grand Salami Under I like, I won't hesitate. Hopefully somebody saw my comment and tailed on the GS Under tonight.

    Now 28-14. (Can't credit myself for a play I didn't bet on!)

For Friday, only 2 Unders I am considering are:
    FL - CAR (Under 5.5)
    Edmonton - NJ (Under 5)
Will get back to you...and others tomorrow a.m.

So I think those are my top Under plays for tonight.

    Current Under record: 28-14

    FL-Carolina (Under 5.5)
The recent history between these 2 clubs involves the majority hitting the Under - Last 3 games dating back to last year.

Last 5 of 7 Hurricanes home games have gone Under, which was set mainly at 5.5 goals.
Khubodin has been very hot lately, with a 1.87 GAA in 10 home games.
Last 3 games for Panthers have gone Under.

My biggest concern is Panthers giving up 4 or more tonight with backup in goal, who has a 2.63 GAA in 7 games vs. Carolina. I don't know much about him. Panthers also coming off b2b so maybe a little fatigued, and Hurricanes may try to play up-tempo and get out to an early lead. I'll take my chances though.

    Edmonton-NJ (Under 5)

Home games are usually good for Unders for Devs.
Last 4 of 5 Oilers road games have gone Under, while NJ has scored 3 or more goals in just 3 of last 10 at home.
    Worth a shot IMO.

Sorry man I couldn't give ya 2 winners. I replied to another thread and said maybe a better play for 1st game was Florida Under 2.5 goals which would have won...should have updated my thread...was fearing Canes scoring 4 or more tonight due to Florida in a b2b and having backup goalie in net.
