Babe Ruth and this one isn't that close

The guy was the 1st sports celebrity

He changed AMERICA, basically invented the modern version of baseball

He also changed the way stars got paid

His black ink on the stats pages, absolutely insane...and that's just batting

Each other person on this list was just better than others around them, but played on a level field...baseball was changed because of Ruth's dominance

Christ he even invented the pinstripe uniform!

Brady - He took a franchise to be the team of the decade for 2 straight decades in the salary cap era to top it off...Leading another franchise to a championship was just the cherry on top

Gretzky is 2nd, but could not do it with another franchise without the Oilers supporting cast

Jordan faded in his late 30's...He had 6 championships, but that had already been done in the NBA...He didn't break new ground like Brady did

Ruth was an immortal, but only in the white world....How would he have done against some of the talent in the Negro Leagues? We'll never know

Surprised that guy that just got into a car wreck wasn’t one of the options.

Guys, when Ruth retired he owned EVERY batting record except hits + .avg (he was 4th)

This is insane to even debate. Forget the negro league argument, 1- Ruth barnstormed against them and crushed, 2- there weren't that many negotiations league players. Maybe a handful of pro caliber...it wasn't a nationwide phenomenon, neuro league ball was regional.

I am looking forward to it Chuckie but we will not be playing at the Circus Circus games room, somehow word got out that you beat me at AirHockey and when I arrived at the airport I was questioned by Canadian Customs, primarily about my AirHockey loss to you. It’s kind of a custom up here that if you lose to in American at AirHockey, You can expect to be harassed and mocked, even shunned in some cases. In fact I’m surprised they let me back in the country at all

People saying Brady do not understand the meaning of dominance. Tuck rule, Spygate, Deflategate... Dominant players do not need asterisks next to their rings.

Out of the choices given, Brady comes in last. How many rules did Brady change since he was so dominant? NONE

He was so dominant they had to change rules for him where basically defenders can no longer touch him below the belt.

Just because he has many rings doesn't mean he was the most dominant. Heck with that logic it's clearly Bill Russell.

Honestly, Id say Gretzky. Guy was a beanpole, played in the dirty ages of the sport, and was completely unstoppable. He had eyes in the back of his head, and was always in the right spot, it was truly amazing.
Great post. Funny how years go by.... people forget about him. Every time he touched the puck.... defense was always in fear. Assist or goal... it's going around the net at a very high percentage. Guy was crazy good.

You could add KC gets a bogus offsides call that could be called almost every play but conveniently stole a Super Bowl visit for the Chiefs and hand it to BRADY. Also 25 penalties on the Chiefs the start of last Super Bowl pretty much put them in a bad spot the rest of the game. No Athlete in America got as much help as Brady getting to the next level. Lebron a close second.

those celtic's teams of the 50s and 60s were just unbelievable

it must have been so difficult to compete at such a high level with 6 or 7 hall of famers on your squad

competing against the other 7 teams in the league year in and year out.

With each leagues expansion comes the dilution of talent. It was probably just as difficult to face the top six or seven pictchers every night week after week, before there were so many MLB teams
