Murphy is crushing homers against all of the best NL pitchers, he is really going great right now.

If Mets win WS and he hits a few more it will go down as one of the great performances of all time

    Agree.

He has hit home runs off of the top 3 candidates for the Cy Young Award this postseason.

    2 off Kershaw
    1 off Greinke
    1 off Arrieta

    Plus one off Lester.

    5 homers, 8 RBI's, 10 hits, 7 runs, 1 SB, & .357 avg, .379 OBP, .929 SLG
    So far this Post Season.

He's building a rep like Sandoval did.

Toronto comes through with an 11-8 win over Kansas City to cut the series to 2-1.

Johnny Cueto had a pretty rough outing...

    Cueto

Toronto needed that win badly to say the least. Cueto didn't have his best stuff and the crowd definitely got to him.

An interesting match up tomorrow afternoon with Chris Young v R.A. Dickey.

Young is pitching well but usually doesn't make it past 6 innings, Dickey had been pitching well over the past 6-7 weeks and the Jays hit great at home so I think it has to be Toronto in this one. I like deGrom to beat Hendricks in the NL. GO Mets !!!

Should Jacob deGrom reach double-digit strikeouts tonight, he would become the second pitcher in MLB history with 30 strikeouts in his first three postseason games, joining Bob Gibson.

Murphy hit 14 HR all year and now he has 6 in the playoffs against the top NL pitchers. Talk about a contract year push...

Three straight road playoff wins for deGrom, he is Cy Young material in 2016 or 2017

Marco Estrada made himself some extra money in free agency today as well. Pitched a gem to keep the season alive for the Blue Jays.

Kind of a typical start for Cueto since being traded from Reds.

Would be great for Toronto if Price can finally get his first ever postseason win in Game 6.

Don Mattingly out as Dodgers manager. Don't think he's a great manager but that $300M payroll team had no depth in the rotation beyond Greinke and Kershaw and only 1 reliable guy out of their bullpen.

    Daniel Murphy chasing another record

Murphy already set the record for homering in the most consecutive postseason games Wednesday. But he's only one HR shy of Barry Bonds' single-postseason record, as well.

Depends on what you think a ton is. I'd say at least 4yrs/$60 mil. Versatile player 1b,2b and 3b has always been solid offensively and is now a playoff beast. He'll get paid. Just look at Pablo Sandoval's contract, is he really that much better than Murphy?

I heard someone talking about 2 years 24 million, which I think is very high (but he might get it).

Seattle hoping for some new luck

The Mariners haven't made the postseason since 2001, the longest playoff drought by any MLB team.

The only team in any of the four major sports with a longer drought is the Bills, who last made the postseason in 1999.

On this date, October 23, 1993: Joe Carter walk-off HR wins the World Series. 22 years ago, time has flown by.
