The one I really disagree with is the "No-Pitch Intentional Walk"

I've seen some strange things happen with pitchers trying to walk a batter.

An intentional walk should never be a guarantee, in my opinion...

For some reason certain pitchers have a hard time doing this. Jennry Mejia had a few that were very shaky.

I saw a wild pitch this year on an intentional walk

    Run scores

Saw another that the catcher had to leap for

if the cubs get Russell Martin

I wonder if the Cubs would Deal Wellington Castillo to the bucs for non top level pitching prospect

I understand that the Cubs are interested in Martin, Liriano and Volquez.

It would be extremely painful watching all three of them in the Cubs dugout next year!

I think only one would actually go to Chicago and my guess would be Martin.

I hate seeing any of them leave Pittsburgh, but losing Martin will hurt the most.

I heard yesterday that the Pirates might pursue Miguel Montero if they can't keep Martin.

Haven't checked Montero's numbers recently but he'd be a better option than Stewart and Sanchez next year...

Yep, I agree. Crazy thing is that his option with Philadelphia was $12 million.

He left $3.5 million on the table by coming to the other side of Pennsylvania.

Another interesting tidbit is that he would only throw to Russell Martin behind the dish when he was here before.

Odds are that Martin won't be around next year. He'll have to find another favorite backstop to pitch to...

I have to agree, 5-years at an $82 million clip? Wow!

Martin was going to get paid, but the amount he got is outta this world!

He is Canadian, so this deal must be extremely satisfying for him and his family...

    Cubs lost out on Martin.

Thinking they go with a Ace type pitcher very soon.

The Pirates ended up getting Francisco Cervelli from the Yankees for LHP Justin Wilson.

I'm not thrilled with this trade, but not upset either. Seems like a decent swap for both teams.
