Gaethje may get dropped.. Would be a fun fight to watch.. AL has a chin and it's very hard to land flush on him and drop the guy, slightly better boxing.... Gaethje a little chinny lately in recent fights also.. Both warriors in the cage though..

I'd take Al... Great fight match up and would love to see it!!!!

Lee def took some cash from me.....I gave the books too much credit here....they messed my thought process up with the line....it was so big it had me thinking Lee was better than he was or improved greatly.....I THOUGHT lee would win.....YES..and I didn't give AI enough respect....knew the line was a bit steep but figured Lee for the W......respect as he brought it and made Lee look like a backpedaling bitch....

Yep me too.. Hard to beat a fighter twice and by method of decision.. I really thought Lee would get his revenge and really go to his wrestling and ground control more.. I think Kevin Lee was gassing out more then anything else in that 5 rounder, I think he began pacing himself and really just trying to hold on especially after round 3..

I think if this was a 3 round fight we may have seen a different outcome.. Kevin Lee would have given more output for just 3 rounds and really leached onto Al's back after taking him down again and again..

Gaethje doesn't have many fights left and one with Al could be his last.

WolfTicketDealer and I actually met Gaethje on our plane back to Colorado from UFC 231. He said that he wanted the winner of this fight when we talked to him. Would favor Gaethje pretty solidly against Al.

Nice we ended up meeting eryk anders he sat right behind us and watched the rest of the card with his family .. and for gaethje al it depend so how many rounds tbh, I’d lean gaethje in a 3 rounder an al in a 5... Al has had tons of knee problems though fighting a guy like Gaethje could be real dangerous .. would love to see that scrap

Slept through half the card, didn't bother capping everything, only made 3 or 4 plays... still beat Hugo by 5 units and a pick or two.

I hope you're getting some positive reads from our friendly rivalry, Hugo. Remember when you used to talk down to me and act as if I were somehow inferior to you?

He had him upside down in an awkward position in the second and threw a few bombs, but didn't have the fight IQ to realize that was a way towards victory and just stopped throwing. I didn't feel it was that Lee got tired in there, It's just that he really hasn't been taught yet how to use his wrestling to completely smother mofos by constant pressure. Big as he is, it shouldn't be so easy for most of the fighters he gets down on the ground to work their ways back up as quickly as they do. Just seems to me he is too self-conscious of how he looks in there when fighting and the product he is selling the fans to be focused on actually getting that W. Otherwise, what else explains his constant desire to pretend he is a top notch striker and ignore takedown attempts. Both time AI got in trouble and taken down, I think, inexplicably, were when it was actually AI who started reaching for and closing the distance with Lee, instead of the other way around. The first time for sure. Remember he did it a few times and each time I about lost my mind and almost threw my computer out the window. LOL. But yeah, Lee is nowhere near the hype, and isn't improving as a fighter at all. Take away the RNC, and he doesn't have much of a path to victory against any top level competition. Just a self-lauded gate-keeper in his prime. Real recognize real.

Naw, man. AI is exactly the type of fight UFC would feed Conor and he would take right now, outside of Diaz. The most beatable guy for their star who absolutely cannot take another loss out the gate. It ain't like they wanna feed him to Porier, really, so who else is Conor supposed to fight? Both Porier and Holloway light years away from the rawdogs they were when they first fought Conor. Looking at styles, Conor beats AI pretty solidly. Negates the guy's hand speed with his own, and hits harder. AI wouldn't beat Conor. All other doable fights they can make would.

Yeah they cant risk anyone with ANY KIND of ground game....agree....this Boxing match would probably be won by CM...id still like to see it...AI is tough...he might test the will of CM and we could see him bitch out again...possibly tap to strikes like MIR just did...lol.....

VERY well said.... I don't think Lee gassed either...AI pretty much delt with everything he had and kept bringing the heat....MADE lee walk backwards....Ai had more heart, better cardio an is flat out smarter....when he had AI's back the body lock in, I expected elbows to soften him up then and QUICK sink of the hand and arch the back...but no. AI simply answered the phone and it was like Lee didn't wven wanna try it lol....early in the fight as well...should have been semi sticky...smh.....it DOES look like he has peaked as far as skills

There's a technique Chris Holdsworth was very good @ where the RNC choke starts over someone's chin and you work it under their chin for a finish.

All Kevin Lee would have to do is learn & practice that and he would finish Raging Al in round 1 no problem.

So I don't know wtf you're talking about pretending that Kevin Lee never had a chance coming into the fight.

A fight you probably didn't bet more than $50 on cuz you were "so confident" Raging Al would win.

no way mcgregor would smoke AL, he fights like diaz, coming forward with constant pressure and has a solid chin. the second diaz fight was so close and could have gone other way.

the top 5 155lb all have a good chance of beating mcgregor. here are top 5, khabi, tony, AL, dustin, and kevin lee. they all have good ground game and dont have to rely on their feet. they also have option to shoot for takedown if getting rocked on the feet. as for conor, we all know what happened last time he went for a takedown.

Al doesn’t have much head movement. I think him fighting Conor would kind of look like when Conor fought Eddie

Al is very tough and comes forward , he doesnt have the chin Diaz has imo and he doesnt have that reach... Mcgregor destroyed Diaz the only thing Diaz has on him was size, cardio and an amazing chin... skill wise he smoked him , he would smoke Al imo unless hes so far gone from drugs and the rich lifestyle , which is always a question mark now IMO

the 2 hardest challenges in the top 5 for Mcgregor are Khabib and Lee style wise imo... Al and Ferguson get hit a ton and Porier already has been kod by Mcgregor and has been kod in previous fights... Overall skill wise Ferguson and Porier are the most skilled IMO, but khabib and Mcgregor are specialists and Lee is just a beast athlete who needs work still

Would love to see Ferguson and Mcgregor go. That would be fun to watch. I think Mcgregor would beat the brakes off Lee.

dustin has evolved so far since he fought conor, he uses alot of wrestling and takedowns in his recent fights and it's a complete different fighter noo. to put conor and khabi in the same category is a joke. conor is an one dimensional fighter, if he gets hit or rocked, then the fight is pretty much done since he has a weak chin and cardio.

dustin has evolved no doubt, but hes a stand up fighter with not the best chin.. hes very skilled everywhere but he doesnt use his grappling a ton. Khabib is a grappler , Mcgregor is a striker how is that a different category theyre both specalists in an aspect of mma lol?? People just hate on Mcgregor far too much imo, when he was really dedicated and into the game he was one of the best strikers MMA has seen , just like Khabib is one of the best grapplers MMA has ever seen... styles make fights

To put Poirier in same category as Conor or Khabib is a joke. They have achieved way more than he can imagine right now. Maybe he gets there but right now he is down the ladder from them.

agreed... i actually think Porier is a darkhorse in the division he has all the talent in the world tbh.. but in big fights he hasnt shown up some times and thats just a fact.. 155 has so many talented dudes with different skills , mma math doesnt work but if you do the right matchups theres guys who can beat almost anybody like the guys who i think give Khabib the biggest challenge arent even guys in the top 3 ... i think Gaethje would give him a great fight with his athletic wrestling, unorthodox leg kick angles and pushing the pace, but i think he could get destroyed by Mcgregor , just about styles and who shows up on the night sometimes
