Crassus - I scratched on the surface on how I cap the over/under totals in the NBA in post #310... Hard to explain all in one post but I will share the basics and try..

For starters I'd say watch NBA game time nightly after all games are finished to stay informed about all the teams/players and how they are currently playing.. See the highlights, listen to what is being said.. (take down quick notes on paper when you hear or see something about each team) Injury reports and line up changes are sometimes big so jot those down. Who's hot and who's not.. Consider back to back nights of play and travel schedule for each team..

The next morning I personally will look at the notes I took from the night before.. I will then begin to cap game by game on the schedule looking for a play.. Takes a good hour of time for me each morning on a full day NBA schedule.. Straight plays and O/U's I look to cap at the same time and in the same game matchup... The most important step for O/U's is to look closely at both of the teams last 3 game totals.. PF/PA for the o/u plays...

Win streaks, current team and individual play for the straight bet capping I look for. I will look at the last match up play between both teams only for the straight plays and not for the O/U's... Look who the teams played and where in those last 3 games is something you need to look at closely to consider the match up.. For example - (some teams don't play great defense on the road and some teams play wide open offense and light up the score board at home) Look for these combinations.. Some teams run and gun or play half court.. You need to consider this for totals.. You can then get an idea where the totals for a game might go and in which direction..

Now I follow the NBA daily so I I believe I can see clearly how the match ups or totals may go, I'd say if you don't follow the sport regularly or have the time to watch NBA tv daily, take notes, etc.. If you don't have NBA vision to make solid plays, then turn to your online sportsbooks and watch which way the lines are moving for that morning.. Look for the O/U lines that are -115 as they are moving usually for a reason.. That's the simple and easy way to begin to cap almost blindly.. You still need to look into each -115 game match up and totals before placing.. Think it all out, work out the totals again in your head, go over the last 3 games... You can look into the -115 lines on the straights as well. A good place to start are those -115 lines as a beginning capper in the NBA..

Bovada has lines that move alot in the NBA and I personally use that book to help me at times as a guide if I'm unsure or the schedule for that day is thin..... If I'm lost and or can't lock down a pick or picks for that day I'll then go with my best play at the -115 line.. In other words I'll re-cap all the -115 O/U lines and or straights to see if I can then nail down a lock ..

That is the basics good luck and I hope that made sense.....
