Hendo all day at those odds. Being down in Brazil defiantly helps Vitor but

Hendo's chin > Vitor's

Hendo's mental state > Vitor's many times

Of course the line is set according to where they fight. But I'd be all over Hendo at close to these odds if it were in Vegas. I'll still play him.

People get so giddy over Vitor kicking Bisping and Rockhold in the head. Neither offer power. Neither are too be afraid of. Neither have ever proven to be much better than solid. KOing either of them, is a tad different than Hendo.

He was landing solidly on both those guys before the knockouts. Knocked Bisping down in the first. In his own way Bisping's near Hendo's level, but the challenges presented by Hendo definitely make him a tougher fight for Belfort.

I'm prolly a little biased here, Belfort-Rockhold was the line I saw when I was first checking out MMA that got me really interested in betting it.

"Landing solidly" is an understatement. Rockhold came in with no respect for Belfort's power, then got tagged, looked scared to strike, and presumably thought "if I put my hands up and defend myself now, he'll think I'm a pussy!" so he kept his hands down until he got KO'd.

At least he's not a pussy though, right?

I was pretty big on Rockhold. More amusement than bitterness, though; I figured that Rockhold would circle away from Belfort's power hand, throw kicks as Belfort rushes in, and avoid boxing range at all costs. Instead, he used his newly-developed ability to back straight up and do nothing else. It was a terrible showing by Rockhold, who fought the worst fight he could have possibly fought.

A lot of banter about Belfort's fight recently have been about his cardio and how he doesn't have it. I've generally thought people really underestimate his cardio (not that I think he is a long distance runner). This will probably be the fight where we might find out.

I think that comes from him gassing way back in the day. He was a lot more muscled then. He did look a bit tired fighting Jones but IIRC he came into that fight being a bit more muscled as well. At least I remember JJ or GJ saying that they were surprised how big he looked.

I put 3 units on Not Belfort ITD at -125 and a unit on the over at +120. I realize it flies in the face of conventional wisdom, but I've got a hunch this fight goes the distance. Belfort's a beast, but I think Hendo can weather the early storm and I don't think Belfort'll have the power to take out the most legendary granite chin in MMA in the later rounds. I give Dan the edge on the ground and the cardio edge as well.

I want to play Henderson straight at plus odds as I really like his chances, but we haven't seen much out of the ol H-bomb in a while and the recent rash of insane decisions has me concerned so I think I'll play it safe this time around and simply fade Belfort.

Having that, I'm looking forward to this fight far more than most.

I like the over more than Not Belfort ITD. Henderson is likely coming to wrestle, and I don't see him KOing Vitor very often even if he comes to strike. That said, it will probably turn into a sloppy boxing match when they both gas after two and a half rounds.

Seems risky to me. Im sure you figured someone would say that. The only thing I might disagree about is Dans ability to sit in Vitors guard. Maybe in the later rounds but when they are fresh Vitor is pretty dangerous off his back. He almost broke Jon Jone's arm.
