I think there is a good chance that Pettis could come out and absolutely clown Guida. I'm considering a play on Pettis inside the distance.

You want to bet all of your money, financial aid no less, on an absolute certainty of a result. I think its a good idea because that plan has never backfired on anyone... Listen to the people who mentioned money management.

Pettis could defeat Guida by Triangle Choke.

People that dont wanne be taken down, often get stuck in the clinch. But pettis wouldn't mind even to pull guard, if locked up. So how can people even be afraid of that happening? Pettis guard is so dangerous i dont think guida wanne be there either.

Yeah, but that's the only threat Guida has in this fight because of Pettis's range. Guida is not going to want to stand up, especially after the hype of that super kick by Pettis. Guida is going to try to lay on him, throw some ground and pound, but it wont last long on the ground if he ever gets Pettis down.

I would love to see Pettis knock Guida's ass out.

me to. when i think about it, i dont think the odds reflect guidas chances at all. I feel more and more comfortable with my 27 units on pettis.

I think this line is getting all kinds of out of whack. I LERVE Pettis and have always hated Guida, but Guida is a scrapper with a solid chin who fights the kind of fight that judges love to give decisions to. Pettis hasn't really fought anyone UFC caliber except for Henderson. -220 is way too much. I think Guida is probably the play at this point, but I'm not taking either side.

except for henderson? its like saying, hes not that fast he only ran the 100m on 9.6 seconds one time. What he have done is not a fluke like grispi. he has showtime again and agian that he is a top fighter. He has fought a couple of guys we thought sucked, but as time have shown, castillo, is not that bad, neither is shane roller or def not ben henderson. And is not like he grinded them, he beat the two ladder guys easy peasy. No one in the world will have a easy day at work fighting ben henderson simply because he is a top level fighter. It is very crowded at the top. Therefore a lot of fights we as spectators believe are locks, are in fact quite even. Guida is a gatekeeper on a roll, thats it. Only the likes of jon jones, and cain beat the top guys easy. I think you give showtime to little credit for what he have done.

A guy that made his name off of eating leather has a glass chin???

I think Pettis can stop him, but Guida is as tough as they come.

If you get nervous at all you can always bet some on Guida since the line has changed so much.

I'll defend people calling Fitch or Story a blanket all day but Guida deserves everything he gets. Sherdog forums are blowing up with Guida haters right now.

Yet somehow Guida still has a lot of casual fans..

EDIT> I completely butchered my own post. See below for what I meant.

lol I completely butchered my post, too many beers I think. If you look up my post history you will see me defending the game of story and Fitch. I think both of them are great fighters but Guida is no where on their level.

haha I would have responded to myself in the same way.

I agree that they need to update the rules, but more than that I think they need to get rid of all of the old boxing judges and come to some kind of consensus how to the current scoring criteria should be interpreted. I fear that if the scoring system is changed to something more complicated it will just give confuse these idiot judges even more than they already are.

Fight Metric results are out. They gave Pettis the second round.

    hahaha I didn't bet.

I pulled out of all thoughts about betting once I heard Greg Jackson was in Guida's corner.

I wont ever bet against Jackson. That's one of my bug-a-boos.

Something tells me if Pettis won, you would have had your life savings on it...

Manage you bankroll correctly. "All in" plays will get you no where.
