Do you have the info that it's going to change or you're just saying that it's a possibility?
If SegWit and Lightning are implemented, then the fees will go down. At least I hope so.

Sammy hates (dont use) wallets that cannot be manually adjusted for fees

app wallets are the worse but they are convenient

Bitcoin Core Developers just said that implementing SegWit by September is unrealistic. I think it will go back up tonight when Asia wakes up.

Are you guys trading this on a day to day?
I purchased it for several years as a "fixed deposit", I could care less about movements today/tomorrow.

What's the benefit of trading the unknown on a day to day basis?

I day trade alts but I'm holding bitcoins for the most part. As long as the price is high in Asia, I'll keep bitcoin.

It seems that long term for bitcoin is tough to do. There is so much that happens day to day. The SEC is reviewing the Winklevoss ETF. A decision will come out any day now.

That would be my guess. Today I would guess that between 8-10 PM EST that BTC will take off again. I could be 100% wrong.

My theory is to look no further than Japan and the rest of Asia. The AML laws in Japan are very strict but so much money is being traded in Japan that they must have figured out a way to arb since the price is so much higher than the US/European exchanges.

Once again, I could be 100% wrong.

There are very few things you can count on in crypto, but here's one of them: The SEC will never, ever sanction Bitcoin trading in its current form. The two things the SEC was designed to prevent -- market manipulation and insider trading -- are complete givens in the crypto world.

I've always been shocked that the Winklevoss's (Winklevossi?) ever thought the SEC would consider saying yes to an ETF. (However, I'm totally unshocked that Ropes & Gray, a Boston firm which definitely knows it was on a fool's errand, was willing to represent the Winklevosses; after all, fees are fees, whether you win or lose).

PS: I don't say that out of arrogance or ignorance; it just so happens that until a year ago, my day job caused me to interact with the SEC on an almost daily basis. I know everything there IS to know about how the SEC thinks, and how it thinks of itself as guardian of the little guy, so I can tell you with absolute certainty, the Winklevoss ETF (and all other proposed BTC ETF's) are dead, now and forever.

ETH is $206, gone up 27% just in 1 day ... looks like bank holidays in the US only do good for Crpyto.

A lot of the cryptos hit at that time. I'm with Gold still liking ETH.

Hoping Tezos will hit in June.
