damn bro, you gotta write 5dimes and ask them to close your account for a while. However, we know you won't be doing this so please keep us updated of your balance and plays.

ok thanks glitch. so u want me to do two 5-point, 10-team parlays, both of which should include all 7 of those games and 3 others of my choice?

I stopped reading this thread. It was too much to absorb while I'm busy. Moneywise, I've been through every situation that you can think of. Let's just say, I've turned penny stocks into six figures and had six figures in cash and there was a time where I was at a low point and brought back down to reality. I would save change, return bottles, do any work to make some money. (even though it wasn't a fraction of what I had). You mentioned job and you're working? That's the first step to get your dignity and feeling of security back (I don't care if you make 10 dollars an hour at the local Walmart--it's about how you use whatever you have. At least you got a job) We're not promised the next day but let's assume you keep living. Keep earning and remember how you felt when you created this post. If you ever fall so to speak, you pick yourself back up, there's no other alternative. Eventually hard work (and occasional discipline) pays off. It will put you in a better frame of mind, then you work on the weight, family problems etc. If you don't respect yourself, nobody will. Take it one day at a time, one hour of earned work at a time that you accrue is 1 hour more of security.

I can't promise you a perfect life. I'm going to get laughed at with this but when I was a kid, I watched a 70's show called Little House on the Prarie. Great heart wrenching show.

Pa Ingalls was a farmer and had a job to do and used his oxen as barter (he was a farmer). He had to stack these huge sandbags in the mill. Unfortunately, he hurt his ribs and was at risk of losing the oxen (and his farm). The guy that he made the deal with saw that he was hurt and came to claim the oxen. (there is no mercy in this world-which is true most of the time). Pa was bed ridden but got up and went to the mill. One sand bag at a time, he would climb to the top. (If he was at full strength he could do the job). Eventually he fell down the load of sandbags and his kids came crying. Both of the kids together tried to stack the sandbags but their children and were simply ineffective and unable to. Just as the man was going to take the oxen away, Pa's friends from town formed a chain and stacked every stack, thus enabling Pa to keep his oxen. Happy ending.

I know that it's fiction but whenever I think that I'm unable to do something, I take it "one sandbag at a time". It's like a puzzle, you need to build the frame for support and you need to try piece after piece until you find the right pieces to create the beautiful picture.

You also work and create a network of friends (try to keep relationships). If you do this, you'll have people to help with the sandbags if needed.

Remember friend : One sandbag at a time (don't think about the entire task)--Keep grinding away. That's another word I use a grinder. People that are grinders are successful because they're relentless in accomplishing what they need to. Good luck -JC

He seems to have rebounded quite nicely. Check out post #74. Looks like he's graduated from his box.

rereading this whole thread made me sick to my stomach...happy to say I am in a much better place these days. never ended up in a cardboard box, did have to leave that expensive apartment when the rent became too much, was able to share a room in a co-workers apartment. was able to pay the car loan off and keep the car. still working....

have played mostly poker the last few years to get my fix. stayed away from the racetracks. have dabbled on 5dimes (casino IS DISABLED on there and my poker site). Unfortunately I still have the disease but I control it a little better these days. have actually built my credit back to "fair" as well.

for any other degens at the bottom of the barrel out there, there is hope for you. thank you to everyone who offered positive support. btw this is not a "success story" post, I just felt the need to give an update and point out that theres always a way to keep going, even if you think your only and last hope is to pay your rent with bet points...

    Thank you for the update.

Instead of money you should just bet air. Like diet soda it will seem unsatisfying at first, but you will grow to love it as you build a following.

Win a little, exhibit some flair and soon you can turn pro. Dreams are built here.
