The idea popped up in another great thread "Dog of the Day" to start an **MLB TOTAL OF THE DAY** thread for players to focus on and share plays and I'm happy to start it up and post records.

RULES :
1) Full game totals or First 5 are what we're looking for to track / bet here
(no alternate lines / buying points)
2) As for multiple plays in a day, I'm all for posting em here in this thread as it helps everyone! But since part of the thread is a running record so we can rank players, I'd say 1st play would be your record play...

LAST THING I would ask is to post in this format for scoring/records:

That's the "rules", all are welcome, respectful debates always welcome but limit the personal attacks for the sake of the thread!

We'd love to see a couple notes on why you favor the play (Trends/ump/weather, etc.) but definitely not necessary.

mil/stl un 7 +110 (i posted this earlier in dod, if line changed it whatevever, think it +106 right now, whichever fine).. im splitting this between ff and gm. just using gm for thread purposes,, just letting anyone interested know how im playing it.. i know im gonna like another one later but ill post it in dod.. i already talked bout this in dod and my guy BiffT thread. normally i will have a small writeup with the play.

buck i think it be wise to make it clear some things like we dont want alternate totals and guys buying a run. this aint amateur hour , they can keep that shit in their little thread (they know who they are, play along but none of that junk). just my humble opinion...

Really if you have 2 great plays , and one hits but it's not your "play" , well you still made yourself and likely some others who tail it some real and that's the point of this. The tracking is fun and keeps it competitive.

Agree with F5 as well (I haven't been great there but I know some guys are and can really read a starter vs the rest of the game), just edited that and posted those rules in post #1 so we can refer new players to that post...

i do my best to play totals -105 or cheaper, ill play a little juice but hate even going -120.. i could be wrong but im guessing this more assumption from your experience rather than fact..if there are numbers supporting what you saying id love to see them. posey only guy i know that would pop up with them in next 3 minutes! lol

Today's Play : Reds / Phils under 7 (-130) (got it this morning, line moved to 6.5 at Bovada)

Under is 5-0-2 in Hamels' last 7 starts as a home favorite (and 0.81 WHIP , 1.54 ERA last 3 starts) , really banking on him to lead this
Under is 5-2-1 in Reds last 8 games vs. a starter with a WHIP less than 1.15
Under is 4-1 Phils last 5 home games
Leake has been hammered in his last 3 starts (SF, Clev, Col) but banking on Phils struggles at the Plate to help him out keep it low scoring today, BOL!

ok this total just dipped down to 7.5 I am buckin trend seen guys on under and line is moving

couple things . I know kid from Boston threw well last start . Here is a book on him now, twins crush leftys , they will get 4-5
Red Sox hit Hughes well , he throws a lot of strikes and they will be aggressive today . Holt hits him well so does Dustin p . Like over a lot here

Twins/Redsox Under 8 (-110) GAME 1

Just reporting what I put in DOD..... Obviously taking UNDER in Game 1 of Twins Sox and got it at -101 at 5 Dimes

Take a look at the UNDER 8.5 in the early game at Fenway. Hughes has a 3.60 ERA over his last 3 starts and 2 of them have gone under. Edouardo Rodriguez is making his 2nd start and trying to prove he is ready to stay. He was phenomenal in his first start giving up only 3 hits over 7.2 innings. The UNDER has also hit in 6 of the last 8 meetings between these teams. To top it off Twins go UNDEr in 18 of their last 26 against a sub 500 team and the Sox have hit the UNDER 22 of their last 31.

New York Yankees/Seattle Mariners**Over 7 -120I already placed my ticket and might take another at 7.5 +115 depending on more info. Tanaka looked rusty early this season before settling down and turning in some solid starts. I'll look for him to ease back into the flow and the Mariners to be aggressive at the plate to avoid thee sweep. Walker still seems to be figuring out how to pitch in the big leagues and hasn't really faced a good offensive team at home.
