These 2 look tough to call.
Fister a tough cookie on the road.
Bum been struggling at home...Nats not hitting...Giants post-season tough...yeah, I guess Giants are the play.
I would take Ryu over Lackey almost any day, but it's post-season, and that's a big reason Cards got Lackey...and Busch stadium magic...yeah, I think Cards are the play too.
    Will check them out later.
Giants NL winners are my only future bet left...

Bet on Oakland and Detroit earlier in the season...LAA when post-season began.
I think futures work better with nba...can't believe how badly these teams faded after the break.

We should stick to NFL. Went 6-3-1 yesterday and I had SD, but game was 3 minutes in so I didn't post it. MLB is starting to suck. LOL.

Tough game to call. Who knows what Ryu we get tonight coming off an injury. I heard he looked really good in the simulation game, but thats a simulation game. However the extra base hits vs each pitcher stands out quite a bit regardless of the number of plate appearances.

Good info. Never been a big fan of Lackey. Hoping the STL bats come to life. BUT, I said that yesterday about Detroit, and that turned out well LOL.

Looks like it could be a low - scoring game Riff.

    Yeah.
I hardly bet nfl, but my instinct picks were right on.
Should nit have taken Jets +7 though to hedge my 2-team parlay with Chargers.
I saw a lot if solid posters on Baltimore too which had me timid in going regular on Colts ML...certainly helps to have a few games into the season to start to get a feel for these teams.
Still trying to get a feel for mlb teams this year...LOL

I wouldnt touch the under. Reasons:

Uribe 4 doubles, Crawford 3 doubles and 2 homers vs Lackey.
We dont know how Ryu is going to hold up
    Dodgers pen is atrocious

No offense, but the Jets??? Three time zones away vs. SD @ home. Man you got brass taking them @ the time. Oh well, I had the Lions @ home and they blew it. How does their new FG kicker miss all three??? This is their replacement guy, they got rid of the other one. LOL.

Thanks...actually was not going to since totals have destroyed me since late August.
BUT, I do like the Under in SF, but is it too late?
I missed both Unders in first 2 games of series.

To answer your question about Jets...was afraid to lose bet with Chargers...does 3 time zones really have that much of an impact though?
Lions looked easy...The reason they got a replacement was to cut down on payroll...they know both kickers would miss all their FGs anyway...ha ha

Do You bet live when actually watching a game?
Or just have your mind set on who you think will win and then make a bet if/when they go down a goal?
I pretty much have to make my bets before the game...probably go with more dogs this year and bet good teams like Kings when they go on a 3 - game win streak, or Hawks/ Blues after a loss. Also Anaheim tough at home.
Maybe bet them -1 every home game unless they are not as dominant from the outset.

Yeah most of the time I need to be watching the game. Sometimes i'll take a blind stab at a heavily juiced favorite that went down a goal early. The Kings made me a KILLING in their 2 cup runs. I took them pretty much every time they went down 1 or 2 goals this past post season and they just kept winning.

In what a pie eating contest?????? Lackey is bulldog and although he hasnt had a great last couple of starts he lives for these kind of games and will be ramped up in a big game at home.

I agree though I have never seen Lackey pitch before...saw Ryu a little and was impressed. Cards seem to hit lefties a bit better this year than last, but not many have hut Ryu well.
I agree that Cards probably take this one and eventually win the series. If they win tonight, I think tomorrow is all she write for Dodger hopefuls.

Do we think Lackey feels at home in St. Louis?

I like STL...RYU is over rated and gets bombed in big road games. Lackey is underrated and is a bull dog, doesnt give up many runs and can rise up even higher in a big game. Money moving on LAD making me think twice but in the end I will prolly b on STL too

Well he asked to be traded to a contender and immediately indicated he will honor the clause in his agreement which requires him to pitch for the league minimum next year. If he didn't want to pitch in St. Louis I doubt he would honor that. He also has typically pitched well at Busch Stadium

OK, riff. We need to know who you are committed to tonight, if anybody. You make some excellent points, very in depth analysis. Would really like your selection on a least one of these games, please sir. You don't have to commit, just asking.

Fister is 1-0 in SF, 1-1 over all, and throwing a 2.77 ERA
Bumfuk is 0-1 vs WAS throwing a 2.57 ERA

Nothing stands out too much other than the amount of doubles the Nats have hit off Bumfuk. This game is pretty close to a coinflip to me so i'd go with the +123 Nats. I probably will end up taking them, just trying to talk myself into fading the Giants this time of year. Might have to hold my balls all game.

GL boys gotta run into a meeting....

Man, according to these stats, SF is out hit almost 2 1/2-1, YIKES. And, 2-1 in RBI's . Doesn't bode well for SF. Maybe RYU will have a meltdown??? He's right. Looks like a coin toss, but most of them did to begin with.
