    Roaddog Season-Long Baseball

Hey everyone, I've been posting my plays in "the dugout" and decided to make my own thread. I encourage questions, comments, and discussion but I do ask, with the utmost respect, to please refrain from posting your own picks here.

I am 3-2 +2u so far this season. All of my plays are documented here:

    the dugout

Thanks guys, and lets continue this nice run

most definitely made my bones in the NCAA! straight from football into basketball, and I've had some pretty good luck... now I'm excited to get on the bases, although it is my least profitable sport (historically), so I'm proceeding with caution. looking forward to a great summer! let's get the loot! thanks, brah! best of luck!

Last year MLB in April I only played plus money games and made around 10g. By far my most profitable month.
I have no rhyme or reasons to this but I hope it holds true again this year.

I agree with you. There's no reason to consistently play teams over -130 in my mind. Just asking for trouble.

    Arizona Diamondbacks +105 1u
    YTD: 3-2 +2u

Daniel Hudson v. Chad Billingsley in this one. Hudson is 1-0 on the spring with a 2.57 era. In 14 innings pitched he's allowed 8 hits and only 4 earned runs. He has a 7-1 strikeout to walk ratio and opposing batters are only hitting .163 collectively against him. His WHIP is an impressive 0.71.

Billingsley, however is 0-0 on the spring with a 4.91 era. In 18.1 innings he's allowed 27 hits, 10 earned runs, and opposing batters are hitting a whopping .351 against him. His WHIP is an awful 1.85.

Arizona is running out a very good lineup today that consists of Hill, Upton, Kubel, Young, Goldschmidt, Roberts, and Bloomquist. Not to mention Daniel Hudson won the Silver Slugger award for pitchers last season. Everything points to the D'Backs in this one. The wrong team is favored. BOL crew.

    Milwaukee Brewers +103 1u

    YTD: 4-2 +3.05u

Zack Greinke v. Gavin Floyd in this one. Greinke is having an amazing spring and this is his final tune up before the regular season so I expect him to take this start seriously. In 19.1 innings this spring, Greinke is 1-0 with a 0.93 era. He has allowed 14 hits and only 2 earned runs. He has a whopping 14:1 strikeout to walk ratio. Opposing batters are hitting .197 against him.

On the other hand, Gavin Floyd is struggling. The White Sox are my hometown team so I root for and follow them closely. One thing I do know about Floyd is that he struggles in spring. His out pitch is his massive 12/6 curveball. It takes him time every season to develop that curveball into a true out-pitch. He has yet to command it and you're seeing that reflected in his spring stats. Floyd is 1-1 with a 6.32 era. In 15.2 innings, he's allowed 17 hits and 11 earned runs. He has issued 7 walks and has 12 ks while opposing batters are hitting .279 off of him.

The Brewers aren't sending out their A lineup and neither are the Sox. I feel like this will be like the Diamondbacks game yesterday. Brewers get out to an early lead and never look back. Again, in my opinion, the wrong team is favored. BOL boys.

I was thinking about taking the Nats today however I may wait until tomorrow. Bo Sox traveling home stop off in DC. Tomorrow will be a true home game for Nats. Bucholtz v. Jackson tomorrow. What do you think?

Hey dog does it scare you that this line makes no sense at all.. Checked out all stats also and brewers should be -130 or -140.. Havent seen pitch limit or innings limit
anywhere... Line just makes no sense to me
