Chase Utley just got his first hit in todays game against the Marlins with is 4th at bat. He was hit by a pitch and walked earlier in the game. So it was looking grim for him today, but he came through in the 8th.
I hope he continues, as this is good to see and good for baseball. Go get it Chase.

Chase Utley just got a 2 rbi single in the bottom of the 3rd against Dontrelle Willis and the Florida Marlins to extend his hitting streak.

Utley 0-2 in game two so far. he might get another shot in the bottom of the 6th though.

Questionable or not, its recorded as a hit. So 32 games it is.
Not exactly true. Official scoring can be changed by MLB. I'm not sure of the process, but it has been done before after a game has concluded.

It seems that streaks like this happen once a year. Hopefully I'm not barking up the wrong tree here, but I think people are over hyping this hit streak big time.
I agree, it is a very nice accomplishment but he is still
so far away from breaking this record it is extremely
premature to start even thinking he will break this record.
Of course they will hype this cause it is good for baseball
as it brings attention. But at the same time all it is going to
do is setup everyone for the inevitable. Meaning him not
