Can anyone tell me why Malisse is the underdog here?
He comes from a good tournament in Chennai where he reached the final and lost to Wawrinka. Clement has 8 losses in his last 10 matches. Malisse is 3-2 H2H but their most recent meeting was in 2007. On hardcourt Clement was 8/13 in 2010 while Malisse had a 13/12 record.
There must be value in Malisse @ +150/2.50 (odds from Betfair)
i watched the match with wawrinka in the final and malisse looked sluggish in the 3rd set,
so you add that with the fact he's gotta travel and has minimal practice with the change in surface
and clement is defending a final here. the only thing i liked here was when clement was a nicely priced underdog now i wouldn't touch it
Chennai is pretty draining, cos of all the humidity. Malisse isn't the youngest either, and there's the disappointment factor too.
Does seem over much movement though. Either Malisse has said something to prompt it ("I'm exhausted" etc), or it's just people piling on and creating a snowball odds movement.
Thanks for the insight, it was helpful. I had one unit on him and decided to hedge after he won the first set, so I actually ended up winning more when Clement turned the match around and won . Had not hedged if you guys had not pointed out that he may be tired after Chennai, dident think about that myself but I am still learning.
