My speculative view on the Del Potro situation:

He was caught with dopping and was kindly asked to sit a year.
If the ATP was to publicly announce that, the rating of the game would suffer so both parties win in this case.

His wrist injury was legit. He probably should have skipped the Aussie Open after suffering it in an exhibition match, but decided to try and play through it. You could tell in those Aussie Open matches that it killed him some games and others, he was able to manage it. I like JMDP, he was a solid cash cow playing the big boys in the Top 10 last year.

Don't know about Del Potro but you will most likely see Somdev Devvarman. He graduated from UVA and will definitely show up, unsless he is top 30 by that time.

As stated, Delpo was a total cash cow and will be greatly missed until his return. Best off the ground on both wings if you ask me.

The doping allegation is completely unfounded...Doping agencies would never risk their integrity or the integrity of the game in withholding info. If baseball was willing to expose manny, ortiz, clemens and bonds, then tennis would certainly clear its name of Delpo is such were remotely true.

I have heard this from top 200 tennis players. My friend (currently around 150) said the same thing for Nadal missing 4 months last year. What about Clijsters and Henin each sitting two years "because they were burned out".

Coria is top 3 of the best players ever in my opinion. He had no serve and no big weapon but was able to outsmart players. Amazing competitor.

Delpo was a total cash cow. Really sucks he's not gonna be around for a while. Even when he comes back you are gonna have to wail a little while before betting on the guy. We have been without several money makers for a while it seems.

Rumor around about Del Potro was that he is also battling depression though he has denied it.Where there is smoke there is fire though. Hope he comes back soon though
