Andy Murray retiring from tennis after Wimbledon

If he makes it that far due to his ongoing hip injury. Used to really dislike the guy and especially all the $ he lost me but then he gave up the sooking and PlayStation and came good. Very sad.

Tearful Andy Murray announces he will retire from tennis

He can now concentrate in his love of playing video games. No wonder he has a bad hip.

Right?! That’s so young! It made me wonder what happens to all those who retire young who don’t have a tenth of the career he did.

Very sad but after his win against Marius Copil in Washington, I knew he was done.

Betting wise, just placed 2000 EUR @ 1.26 on Bautista-Agut on the betting exchange, trying to lay @ 1.23 or 1.22 now.

Bjorn Borg retired at 26 with 11 slams in the bag, what a legend (and he never played the Australian Open).

Guy should've retired over a year ago. It is painful watching him play now after the hip injury. He couldn't win a challenger tourney at the moment

Rich as hell. Can’t blame the guy. Must not have that desire to win like Fed. Not many do. Or is it health. Haven’t been paying attention, nor did I read any articles.

skipped more than half the year, makes it very unfair. its not just about playing majors, its an endurance sport

He only skipped the clay season which is a joke anyways. I'd rather watch WNBA than a clay court tournament

Fun player to watch when on. Had a lot of variety to his game and pretty unique style compared to what’s out there now. I never liked him as a person much, but it’s really not his fault he just had that face that’s easy to hate. Anything he did that would be perceived as whining would be perceived as passion if fed or Nadal. Still don’t feel bad for guy he’s rich and retiring at 31... boohoo. Never understood why these guys set for life play forever and destroy their bodies.

Tennis player Andy Murray announces his plans to retire due to a lingering right hip injury.. Murray admits he's been "struggling for a long time," as he has trouble controlling his emotions at the podium.
