For me Kvitova is the pick. On one of her favourite surfaces, she has way more power than Kerber and in general she is a more complete player, she is also making more aces than Kerber.
Otherwise looks good, I am also on the Troicki pick
Watching the matches in Sinagpore
Here are the grades on how players performed in first matches
Kerber A - excellent consistent game,First serve isn't a huge weapon but no double faults the whole match
This was a fantastic win for Angelique she looked great. Petra has two set points in the second and Kerber got two saves.
Muguruza B - good to very good on serve, poor moving side to side, nice consistent backhand, forehand improved as the game went along
Kvitova C- very inconsistent, goes for too many winners, same number of aces as double faults
Announcer just said "I have seen players have fluctuations, but not just so many in one game" laughs
Safarova C+ Just looked flat, looked better in the second set,
Halep A+
Sharapova B
Radwanska B- It must have been like 2-17 on break points or something which was the difference in the match
