This Saturday, Rafael Nadal will make his second consecutive appearance in the Capitala World Championship final where he will square up against Robin Söderling, who stunned world number one Roger Federer today.
Nadal end 2009 in bad shape, playing without confidence. Today we saw two different versions of Nadal… one bad 1st set (some important breakpoints lost by Ferrer), that he won in tiebreak, and a nice 2nd set, without many troubles to make a 6-3 against Ferrer.
Nadal will have difficulties when he start is game against Soderling. Soderling coming with confidence and he finished the season very well. And better… he start this season very well to, with a victory against Federer!
Soderling play a powerful tennis, with very good serve and very good powerful shots. I expect that Soderling can be very aggressive in Rafa’s serve… and it could be very important in final result. Breaking Soderling is very difficult, and tactical Nadal could be in troubles.
In a game between one player in perfect shape, like Soderling, against one player growing up after a bad final year, Nadal… I can’t see Soderling as a dog, so I take Soderling here.
