WTA - what am I thinking

A made a few WTA plays the last few days......and wow what a mistake. 2 of the 3 matches I picked the girl I backed only held once.....YES ONCE the entire match. The worst part is that 2 of them were favorite?? Thought I would take a stab, but totally not worth it.

Petkovic -270. First Serve Points Won: 14/32 (44%) Second Serve Points Won: 7/23 (30%). Broken 7 of 8 service games. How crazy is that? I guess not that crazy considering its WTA, but still.....pretty bad.

Yeah, WTA is a disaster sometimes - You have to pick your spots. I got screwed with Bouchard this morning - she was the only loser of my parlay.... I guess there is still 3 players yet to play, so I hope 1 loses, so she doesn't totally fu## my over.

I don't even know what you mean about picking spots........the way it plays out most of the time, there aren't any spots to pick, lol. Seems like whenever I back a girl, it seems she could care less out there. I had Larsson this morning against some 19 year old Belgium, and she got her sh!t pounded in about as bad as I've seen. Looked like a good spot for her.....the Belgium had to play qualies, and had a long 3 setter yesterday.

I guess what I meant by picking spots are matches in big tournaments.... against players who are in or around the top30 or 40. So for example - a match like Cirstea and Vinci would be a decent match where you know both will actually give an effort. Only problem with WTA is the service games doesn't mean anything (unless your Serena, or a top10 player.) It seems like most WTA players would rather return.
Anyways, that's what I was saying about spots.
So any of the Dubai matches would be decent ones IN MY OPINION. Top players in WTA actually makes it seem like tennis cause they are actually decent and entertaining.

Added Bouchard seeing it as a good spot for her - Beck is a good player too, but thought (obviously wrong) Bouchards game would be too much for her. Cost me some $$. Only bad thing is, my mentality is she cost me $300 and not the actual 10 I played with. Its the principal with this one. hahah

It depends on their form. They play differently from tourney to tourney. Watch couple of their first matches and you will get the better idea. There are tourney where they hit with more power and placement and other tourney it just looks they are hitting lobs. Bouchard and Chibulkova were great during australian open and now they have declined. Petkovic did well in Paris this year and sucked after that. I used to love Azarenka about a year ago. She was automatic, she destroyed opponents by 6-8 games and now she is too inconsistent. Women just change too much quickly.

Oh yeah that's right about Petting-Zoo... I wonder if she was on her period or something.

peng, makarova, and suarez navarro are three that are fairly reliable against weaker players, then struggle against the better ones,

have not found too many that aren't up and down and unpredictable

I think halep is reliable and maybe errani too. I like to bet handicap and Navarro has okay for me this year.

I fu(king hate tennis....and all tennis.....it doesn't even matter mens womens......this is going to be the death of me. Im guessing matches I've had money on, there may have been 200 tiebreakers.......no lie, I bet I've won about 40 or 50 of them.....and so many in the final set....its actually kind of gross. If my players fall behind 2-0 or 3-0.....itll end at 7-1 or 7-2. Now on the other hand.....if my player goes up say 4-2 or 5-2, it'll somehow get to 4-5 or 5-5....and then I lose. And let's not talk about set points! I few matches recently my player has squandered 4 or 5 set points....only to lose the 1st set point for the other play.........man, I need to re-evaluate tennis.....it's making me old and cranky!

mtc....rough one with Bouchard. If you look Beck has won as a big dog like 5 times in the past week. It's kind of crazy. Only time I backed her, she lost, haha.

And its the shots in general when I watch. The player I bet against will drop in 15 beautiful drop shots for winners...my player will attempt 6 and miss all 6....hahaah gift points.

hahahaha....guys, you can't make this garbage up, I sh!t you not! Lajovic up 7-6 in the tiebreak, with a set point. Drops the next 3 points, and loses the set. Both things I was just talking about......missed set points, and lost tiebreak. I just talked about this 30 minutes ago. It's driving me out of my mind. Rather then having to win 1 set out of 2 now, I need to win both, and need to avoid a tiebreak...or this thing is a loser. Does anyone else feel my pain with tennis? It's the sport where you think you have things under control, and 2 minutes later your toast. And it doesn't matter if you have #10 against #400 or the other way around.

Betting a parlay like this and including bouchard against beck right now in the parlay, I hate to say it, but you deserve to lose.

regul8er, you could just stop betting tennis.....
