    Open Parlay - Seeking Advice

Never really attempted these before, and I've gotten myself off to a pretty nice start. Does anyone have advice or a strategy? Yes, it's a 20 team open parlay, and I have a LONG, LONG way to go.....but promising off the start. I was tempted to take Querrey at -400 last night, and thought better....which has me feeling pretty good about myself this morning!

You're gonna need to fill some spots find 11 high ML games that you know about, then the last 5 you can try and get mls under -200 and can get it 5,000-10,000

You will need a lot of patience and discipline, pick your spots, 2-3 best bets to fill the parlay

I would mix it other sports too, hard to hit 20 team parlay with tennis chalk

If I added 5 ML's under -200, and the rest with big favorites, I believe it would win way more then $5-$10K. I just added 5 games around -200 for fun, and it jumped the payout to over $5K, and that's with 11 spots still remaining!

Thanks.......I was hoping to keep this strictly tennis, since during the day I bet way too much, now it will force me to really pick spots. Looking at today, the only match I would feel really comfortable with is Nishikori vs Becker at -460. All of the chalk in Buenos Aires looks really tough today.

I actually have a decent little open 20 teamer for College Hoops as well. Hit West Virginia at +120 and Maryland at +12.5 on Monday.........and hit Xavier -1.5 and Alabama ML yesterday. This one is up over $500 as well.

You can make a solid profit with these if you try to find the most solid bet or two of the day. Takes patience because some times you have to skip days when there are no "sure things" - not that there ever are. I usually limited mine to much fewer picks (7). 20 is awfully hard still even when taking some big chalk.

YA......I won $150 Monday afternoon.....and decided to use the $150 to make 3 20 teamers for $50 each. Two are still alive after taking some early chances. Now I can really zero in. 20 is going to excruciatingly difficult.

Don't pick prices, just keep picking winners.

    -200 shots lose often...

It's only hard if you're trying to get 20 ATS picks, but with what I said it's not hard, not hard at all

20 MLs are still difficult even if you're taking -500 type lines.

Best success I had was finding the best mismatches in the very early rounds of tournaments to take your picks. As the tournaments go on, things become harder to predict, especially in those 250 level events.

Wait a sec.... your already sitting at $561 profit with only $50 bet ? Have patience and only pick the most certain matches. You will still get it to several thousand filling it with chalk. Stay away from early round clay tournies these mugs dont care sometimes.

One small step closer! Robredo dropping the 1st set had me in sweat mode.

    good luck with it,

Good luck sir, you already have a nice profit, might be beneficial to stick to more "sure bets" and less -200 picks. Just getting to 20 bets and you're going to be making some serious cash, no need to take unnecessary risks at this point.

Thanks for all the responses guys. Well I got another one behind my back last night in Nishikori in a comfortable win. Just wish I locked it in around -450 earlier in the day, but had to settle. I was EXTREMELY tempted to take Janowicz this morning, vs a tired Haas. Really wish I did, but what can ya do.

The thing that does scare me picking tennis matches, if the possibility of retirement. My book grades matches a win or loss if 1 full set is completed. Would hate a guy with chalk to get hurt during the match and throw in the towel.

WOW...huge sigh of relief. I thought on two occasions that Almagro was going to retire....so relieved he didn't. If I get much further, this is going to get pretty stressful, lol. Very happy with the line I got here, as it jumped into the -550 range shortly after I locked in. Pretty sure I'm done for the day!
