Vinci Vs Pennetta
Anyone like Pennetta here? Public pounding Vinci but line favoring Pennetta now. Vinci also just played against Pennetta in Doubles tonight and beat her.
With Vinci also worried about her doubles match and Pennetta out of the doubles I think Pennetta comes with extra effort to keep her singles hopes alive. Series matchup is tied 4-4

Vinci has had such an easy draw its ridiculous. meanwhile Pennetta has face some quality players. scared of let down spot tho.
Yeah Pennetta knocked off Errani, Kuznetsova and Halep too. Pretty tough field, and now she has no doubles to concentrate on
The fact that they are playing doubles means shit. Vinci is part of one of the top doubles teams in WTA, she's in this position constantly as far as doubles goes - it doesn't phase seasoned players whatsoever.

I would never put money on any match involving two Italian women. There is some weird psychological shit going on between these chicks and I don't trust any of their matches. Best of luck, if you do.

Why is there extra motivation? You think Vinci is gonna be like oh well who cares ... I still got doubles to play. Poor reasoning. They're both fighting for a once in a lifetime chance of making a Slam semi because both are rarely in this position. I don't see where there's an edge motivation wise for either and especially not with anything have to do with whether or not someone is still playing doubles.
Judging by this thread, Vinci is probably a wise move since everyone seems to be on Flavia Flav.

Pennetta upset Halep, which was a big surprise, but you should not draw sweeping conclusions based on one match. Case in point: Suarez Navarro looked pretty good vs Kerber and today she lost 6-0 6-0 against Serena. Vinci is still a top-15 player and Pennetta as experienced as she is, is ranked at 83. For what it is worth, Pennetta looked better than Vinci in their today's doubles match (serve-vise and from the baseline). But I think this match is still a coinflip.

Back a few years ago, when Pennetta was ranked much higher than Vinci, they were playing even against each other. If and that is a big if, Pennetta will serve and hit as well as she did against Halep, she should win. If not, Vinci will win. Who knows what will happen. Take Gasquet to win a set against Ferrer instead.

I am not playing this, but based on everyone loving Pennetta and the Over ... Vinci 2-0 in straight forward fashion kills everyone.
I think Penetta wins 2-0 honestly. She's playing better. With who shes beat should not be scared of Vinci at all after beating Halep.
