    Hmm, his record is 4-7 on clay, if you do not count qualies. Kuznetsov was the first top-100 player he has ever beaten. So I would not get too carried away here. It's true that Melzer is not a clay-court specialist. Did Thiem look that good when you watched him play ?

    wew his first win i think he will be motivated/confident, from what i saw he is sure worth a shot, he was even down a break in the second set and was able take it back and win.

    Kuznetsov is a young russian player, not known for his steely disposition. Melzer will probably win fairly easily, especially since he also local.
