    5dimes has Serena at +280 to win the French. She is the favorite to win according to the early odds posted at 5dimes.

    Besides past perfromance, is she capable of being the dominant woman on clay? Her fitness and age have to come into play at the slower courts at the French Open? What am I missing.....

    I see as being in contention but in no way the favorite to win this event

    I agree that she's a top contender but the odds on azarenka were +520. I would have thought they would be closer to Serena level.....

    I would enjoy to see what other people think...I dont mind being wrong in this...I just would like to see other peoples train of thought on this subject.

    A Serena that is motivated is a dangerous thing. I think the age, fitness, and the slowness of the court all work against her. Who was the italian woman that looks like a man that won it a few years ago?
