    In a slam .. won't happen yet.

I think if Djoker was playing today, he could've lost, too.

This is standard for Fed now... lose to Gasquet and the like in non-slams.

Its standard for Fed to lose in the Davis Cup? nofuckinway.

29-3 lifetime in the Davis Cup coming into today... including 3-0 last year. Nothing "standard" about it.

This is one of the all-time biggest upsets, don't kid yourselves. Federer is still one of the top five best clay court players in the game - probably top three. In all honesty, I rank this just a little below Soderling beating Nadal at the French Open as far as biggest clay shock of the past decade or so.

Isner really may be someone to watch @ Roland Garros this year. Remember he nearly shocked Nadal last year. Even though his movement is still very suspect, that serve negates so much.

1st time Federer has lost to an American on clay since 1999 and his first Davis Cup loss in 15 matches. It sure is a big upset. Americans may take out the Swiss!

Nishikori beating Djoker is more of a stretch.

i was pretty shocked at wat i saw
isner was in control for almost the entire match
is clay often a better surface for a power server/hitter like isner?

watched most of the match, Isner played lights out those last 2 sets, best I've seen him play regardless of the surface, unbelievable serving, he was abusing the 2nd serve kicker to feds backhand all match.

I hate serve bots but it looks like his game is improving - gradually, might break top 10 this year, doesn't have many points to defend and if he stays healthy and plays a full schedule, don't see why he can't crack it. May even replace the fish!
