    If us open officials were serious about getting the games in today...

    They would be starting these matches at 9 am, and not 11am. It's going to start raining at 2pm. Atleast it would give espn more taped footage to show.

    Unless there is a clear window of opportunity, there is no way they would do that to the people who have tickets. You'd have to have that decision made the night before to be able to publicize the start time, otherwise you have a PR nightmare on your hands.

    They could do doubles or the juniors maybe, but those don't even matter at this point because they're all played on show courts at this point.

    Already moved the juniors to indoor courts somewhere else in NY but like Eagles says, doesn't matter at this point regarding the main draws.

    this is turning into a disaster either way. richt now, it's the best weather we've had here in 2+ days.

    mjs....it doesnt look like they will.
    I don't think there will be tennis played again today. Does anyone think Flushing Meadows finally gets a few roofs next year....I think so.
