At some point the books must realize there is a changing of the guard...

until he starts losing, djokovic should be considered a favourite against anyone on any surface

if nadal reaches out to roland garros final, djoko will probably be underdog again which i would like it to happen.

Too hard to say what the odds will be. Depends what their draw is and how they both perform throughout the tournament. Books obviously pay much more attention to the lines they hang for Slams as everyone and their dog comes out to bet them so they'll be sharper, regardless.

Nadal will NOT be an underdog on clay.. (at least not in the next 3-4 years)

Correct, if it continues, he will eventually be an underdog on clay, but not yet.

I am willing to bet Nadal will be favored in every French Open match he's in.

Do you expect Nadal to beat Djokovic and win Roland Garros 2011? Assuming they meet in the finals of course, which is very likely.

Very likely? I know how it's gone in the recent tournaments, but I'd bet against the matchup occurring.

As for who will win, I don't know. I've only been betting on them when I can get good + odds, because it can go either way. Djokovic is very capable of beating Nadal. Unfortunately, the market will adjust and you're not getting +180 on Djokovic if it happens at RG.

My bad, it's just my opinion, seeing as Djokovic must realize this is his best chance to end Nadals French Open reign, while Nadal will surely come to the tournament as motivated as ever. Who are the main contenders you have in mind that could potentially eliminate either of them from reaching the finals?

PS: I take it you don't see enough value in taking Djokovic French Open future @ +275?

No, I definitely wouldn't bet that.

As for the contenders, those two are clearly the two best in clay in the world, but the usual suspects:

Ferrer, Del Potro (if he's fit), Soderling, Almagro, and Berdych.

Alright, thanks for your thoughts man. I put something on the Djokovic future anyway, because I most likely won't be able to get him at + points until the finals (if he makes it) and even then it likely won't be even close to these odds.

PS: I thought Del Potro already pulled out of the tournament, but apparently he's just questionable...

honestly none of those guys you mentioned have much of a chance against nadal and especially djokovic in a best of 5 set match on clay. Fatigue will also not be a factor like it was in rome coming off madrid since now they have a week or more off. I mean cmon...joker just murdered soderling and berdych couldnt even beat gasquet. Del potro has not beaten anyone good on clay. ferrer has taken a set off joker and no sets off nadal. I just dont see it, and I know for a fact murray doesnt have what it takes to win 5 set matches against the elite so that leaves nobody.

    Yes they do.

I'm perfectly willing to bet against that final occurring.

Is it the best of 5 rule that makes you think this tournament will be different than the last few?
