    Sportsbook for Wash. St. residents

I'm new to sports betting and want to set up with a Sportsbook. I signed up last night with Diamond and went to login today and was told to call customer service.

When I called they said they cannot support Washington State residents. I know my state has on online gambling law but they only changed it to match federal law.

Does anyone know of a sportsbook I can join that will take Wa. St. residents?

    Thanks,

    Roger

I'm actually on the South side of the state in Vancouver. We border with Portland, OR.

I am just thinking that many reputable books will take your action and not be worried about a ruling by Washington State. I doubt many of their ownership plan on vacationing there anytime soon. Would just shoot an email to all the rest of top books A to B and see who gets back to you.

Very safe, but not many betting options IMO. Have you considered 5-Dimes?

With 5D you'll get reduced juice (105 lines) and tons of prop. Great for bettors that play $500 or less.

PS Pass on any bonus if you want reduced juice.

Many books are now scared of Washington State. It's not because it's illegal to operate in Washington State. It's illegal for an offshore bookmaker to accept wagers from any state. Washington State is unique in that it criminalizes the act of an individual placing a wager. Thus, the Federal Department of Justice has much broader ability to investigate and enforce anti-internet gambling laws. The DOJ is using Washington State as a base camp on a war against internet gambling. Books rightfully fear having their cash processing operations busted as a result of offering services to Washington State residents. It's not worth it for them to risk losing processing ability to the 49 other states in order to service just 1 state.

Washington and Kentucky are the two worst states right now and online operators are starting to avoid customers from those states. Of course New Jersey is paving the way for States rights as they passed legislation that legalizes and regulates online gambling.

Washington has some of the harshest penalties for online gambling. In many states it is perfectly legal to gamble online.

    Best of Luck,

Watch for many other books to drop Washington. It is a very dangerous trend for the US contingent.
