It wouldn't matter. Books are already taking a leap of faith by not verifying ************ beforehand. If you would have lost the $400, they would have eaten their own processing fees. You're on a path to being blacklisted.

Next time, account for processing fees before depositing. Even though they're only around 7 or 8%, I always leave enough to cover a 20% charge. That way there are no excuses or complications when I request my payout.

Its great that Bodog is choosing to back you. When the same situation happened to me with Pinnacle, Pinny voided all my winnings and you know what, I DIDNT READ THE RULES SO ITS ALL ON ME. I know we are in a forum that exists to support the players, but we still need to maintain our objectivity or else what makes us different from all the fraud/con artists out there?

But if Bodog is allowing you to keep your winnings in this winning, all the best to you buddy. This in my mind reflects very positively on Bodog's part.

BODOG seems to have sided with common sense instead using the rules to the letter. good for them. haven't played there in many years. think i will go back.

**** bodog... give them all your info like your bank account number and their phone number.. have them verify it! same shit as if you write on a paper and fax it or scan it to them.... I think books makes you fax it or scan it so they can hold on to your money bit longer....

No offense bud but this is shaping out to be a freeroll scam here. Intentionally overdraw your account make a couple of quick all in plays if you lose so what it only cost you a $35 overdraft fee, if you win you file a complaint with SBR.

IMO if you were not trying to scam a freeroll this is your fault every book I have ever deposited with (and I know for a fact bodog does) informs you before you accept the transaction that there will be a few extra cent added on to the charge. If you accept this without reading it is your fault.

I am pretty sure that the books do this to avoid looking suspicious (by always charging even dollar amounts) due to complications with the UIGEA

I gotta feeling Bodog is going to have an increase in deposits that just happen to bounce back. Winners will complain, losers will just move on.

Good luck. This all sounds shady on Bodog's side not contacting you to tell you the initial deposit did not go through.

it's not a charge, they use random cents to make the deposits look more like a purchase. The non shit books though would charge 399.43 or whatever # less than the amount not more so we wouldn't have these problems.

what if he lose wud he able to refund the 400 since the money wasnt cleared? this is a pretty bs rule and shady that favors any books. If u win on the uncleared money they wouldnt honor ur winnings but if u lost with unclear money they'll be all over your ass. This is stiffing at its best.

I don't know why so many of you think it's strange that someone would have exactly that much in their account or that he'd be "betting his last $400." I frequently write checks for almost the entire amount in my checking account, 1) because I keep as little money as possible in my checking account since it earns the least interest of any of my banking options and 2) for betting purposes I use a different checking account than my main one as my main one is with BkofAma who are probably the most anti-gambling of all banks and I would prefer not using them for gambling purposes, lest they reject some *************** as a "gambling purchase" and I end up in a similar situation as the OP. I'm aware of these "random cents added" so in practice I try to keep a bit extra in my checking account, but it's pretty standard that I specifically transfer money into the account to write e-checks.

Like durito said, it's pretty foolish that these books add the fees to the deposit. They should deduct the fees from the amount deposited.

If Bodog finds some sort of strategical advantage in charging an extra 0.69, the consequences, when things turn sour, are theirs as well. And your simple suggestion would obviously avoid any confusion. Kind of makes one wonder about their decision making in general.

Then they said something like my winnings were voided. Thats 4k! Is there anything i can do here? I checked my with my bank to see what was up, and it turns out the transfer was for 400.69 not 400. Since my account only had 400 in it, the charge was returned to bodog! My bank used to allow for overdrafts until i opted out of their "over draft protection plan". So now for this .69 i may lose my 4k! is there any way i can explain this to bodog and have them refund my winnings? Any help would be greatly appreciated. i AM SOOOOO STRESSED OUT RIGHT NOW!
HOOOLY SHIT! the same thing happened to me at Pinny last year! Except I went around $3.00 over what I had in my bank account instead of 69 cents. I got a bank fee, and Pinnacle voided ALL MY WINNINGS! I had turned ~75$ into around 500$ in just a week! Now Pinny has blocked ALL my deposit methods except wire, and I don't feel comfortable using bank wires so I has to suck up the loss and then switch books.

If the guy was tring to free roll them, don't you think there would be a day delay where he could have deposited the extra cents so it went through when he was winning?

What should happen here, and what appears to be happening, is he needs to send the resend the 400.69 and keeps his winnings.....just as he would keep his 400 loss if he had busted, they wouldve asked him to redeposit.

It has happened to me before because of the nature of US banks randomly they just denied an *************** one time. I redeposited using another method, all was fine.
i'm surprised he's gettting his winnings!

To Bodog its not over .69. Its 400.69 to them. They didn't get $400 and say where is my .69 and then cancel the bet. If you go to pay for something and every last cent isn't there then it will not clear.

How would that stop the first transaction from being voided? The full amount was not there. Adding $0.69 (plus the .69 fee they charge) would seem shady if done without them asking for it or voiding the first transaction.
