betus Sportsbook reviews confiscation claim; credits bettor
betus Sportsbook (SBR rating D+) has decided to credit the player from SBR's sportsbook confiscation report. betus initially seized $1,350 in freeplay winnings from a player that made a $1000 deposit for a 100% freeplay. The player risked the entirety of his freeplay on Kansas City +135. After winning the bet, his account was closed due to "non-recreational" play and betus confiscated the freeplay winnings.9/10/2010 02:16 PM
betus freeplay complaint update
On August 24th, SBR reported that BetUs reinstated a player's freeplay winnings who had his account closed for non-recreational play. betus returned $1,350 to the player's account but no longer wished to accept his business. SBR facilitated discussion between both sides where an agreement was ultimately reached to pay the player $1,000 and close his account. The player was not under durress when making the agreement and considered the deal to be fair as he would not be required to rollover his bonus with paltry limits.
Once my account had been reopened (and closed and reopened again) and the $1350 returned I found that I had been set to $25 max win limits with some $12k of wager requirement.
This was obviously unacceptable. I talked (phone + email) to Jake Slater, sales manager at BetUS whom I found most helpful (even if my emails kept going to his spam). He seemed very frustrated by what had happened. It was if someone else was making decisions within BetUS and he had to pick up the pieces - but that is just my opinion.
In the end Jake agreed to return my $1000 deposit and I would forfeit the $350 winnings and not have to complete the WR. This seemed like a fair deal to me so I took it.
I must thank Justin for mediating in this matter.
