Im a n00b when it comes to this online sportsbook stuff and im looking for a decent book. Im not a pro gamer and wont be playing with too much money. just. looking to get some action on weekends for football and mma. I remember when i was in college ppl were using Bodog and i know its a big name when it comes to online sportsbooks. I was wondering how good of a book is bodog. Is it easy to withdraw and deposit and are the fees small? thx

bad lines but other then that i like it.... one of the only books that take ************, have every mma fight, great for a small player to gain experience etc.

but i suggest you just go with 5 dimes, very similar to bodog except they have better lines on everything...

This book used to be "must have" because some of their lines have tremendous value, but they tend to "catch on" if you start winning, and you will see differing lines if you're logged in on one computer and not logged in on another.

It doesn't matter if you start winning. When I started betting there about 7 or 8 years ago my max bets were $200 and as I recall I lasted 4 bets before they switched me to the "sharp feed." I referred some friends there whose standard bets were $25 and they lasted about as long as I did. For shits and giggles, ask Becky if Bodog deals dual lines and she won't respond, despite the fact that she responds to just about any other question with "Bodog" in the title.

I can honestly say I have no issues what so ever with Bodog. In fact they are the primary book I use. I have been playing there for three years now and cash checks from them on a regular basis. The above post about limiting players puzzels me. I play 500 to 1000 daily and have never seen my limits decreased. While a nickle or a dime on a game is alot to some people, to others this is chump change. It was explained to me by a close friend in vegas that the books dont really notice $500-1000 bets because those are pennies in the grand scheme of things. I have got to think the same holds true for bodog. Durning the world cup you could have put 65000 us on spain in the final weekend. This is a prime example of "I'm betting pennies in the grand scheme of things". Anyway, got a little off track but I would recommend Bodog to anyone. I have recieved $5600 in checks since 7/1/10. They are legit.

Nothing was said about limiting. What we (and many others) have noticed is that you see one line, then when you login you get a different line. Logout, clear cookies/cache, or use a different browser, line goes back.

I like them because "quick" enough payouts for me, and they are free (once a month)...I'm not a huge gambler, I throw 500 on Teasers during football, and will bet 100-200 per game if I like them(maybe 2 games per Sunday. I did notice that I got my limits dropped during basketball season though. Not a big deal, because I do this for fun, not for a career. I've only bet a handful of baseball games, and will be redepositing there this week, for football season.

I was with Bodog a while back, but was able to get my money out when they started to have payment issues, but those seem to have all been resolved and I just never went back yet. I plan to someday.

I never had any real issues with them and they do have a lot of value for a recreational bettor especially if you like poker and stuff. I played in some of their freerolls, but I am not much of a poker player and now-a-days most places offer freerolls.

Anyway, you might find a better bonus out there, but Bodog is still a nice place to be.

    BoL,

The only "problem" I had with them was when I was withdrawing 5900. I requested the payout on a thursday evening, and received 3K Tuesday morning, then received the other 2900 the following week. Wasn't really a bid deal since I knew they only send out payments of 3K at a time when using Fedex. So it really wasn't a problem, just kinda sucks, I had to wait almost 2 weeks for the full amount, but I received it without any other hassle. Requested 500 a couple weeks ago and it was here 2 days later. I think with smaller withdraw requests they only take a few days via fedex.

I like the book, and don't have many complaints, only real complaint is they are terribly late getting lines up sometimes, and half the time they are red boxed, so you can't parlay/tease them.

My limits/delays on Bodog are pretty absurd. I haven't had money there in years but when I last checked, I was limited to something like $50 or $100 on all props, and there's a delay of about a minute when I try to place a bet. At least half the time I try to bet a prop, probably 60% of the time, I would get a "line has changed" message. My total win vs them is no more than a mid 4 figure amount and as I recall I made something like 15 or 20 prop bets at the former limit of $300 before they started that delay nonsense.
